Really boring
|
| |
Generic, boring, lame, stupid.
|
| |
i was satisfied until i heard a breakdown. what the fuck.
|
| |
Well after i listened again, the vocals are a shitload better. Thats about it.
|
| |
Vocals make the song.
|
| |
thier going places cuz the singer is black
|
| |
''thier going places cuz the singer is black''
and because the scene kidz love the chugs haha
|
| |
Honestly the vocals alone is better than a good 5 songs off depths lol
|
| |
Butchered actually makes a good point
|
| |
This shows that affirmative actions works.
|
| |
''Butchered actually makes a good point''
yes and no kinda, there are a few groups with black vocalist that don't go far. The scene their in
played a major part. Lets not forget about all the big shit bands that are out now. It doesn't take
much to impressed in this genre haha.
|
| |
Sounds like one of the good songs off Depths
They need to ditch the terrible breakdowns though
|
| |
But then they'd go a cappella...
|
| |
Thought this said Oceana post new song...
Booo.
|
| |
Omg I thought this was Oceana too lol
|
| |
On a side note
random monkey
|
| |
On a side note
random monkey in the band pic
there fixed
|
| |
i'm embarrassed to be from the same area as these guys. they are sooo terrible.
|
| |
Song sounds like a lost track from Depths.... Sick vox though
|
| |
there is potential but this is just so amazingly average
|
| |
black guy in a dethcore group UNHEARD OF
|
| |
The drums sound like chop sticks on a table at a Chinese food restaurant with a abnormally bad acoustics.
|
| |
you guys can hate on them all they want i doubt they give a fuck. i love the fact that their singer is black because it just goes against all the stereotypes about having to have long hair, wear everything black to be into death metal/deathcore. and these guys are not scene at all just look at them.
|
| |
so so bad
|
| |
I don't like that.
|
| |
Just sounds like Whitechapel, but more boring.
|
| |
Yeah, and Whitechapel is already bad enough.
|
| |
Some of the slow leads were cool over everything, but after the beginning I was reminded, "loloceano." Good production, but this doesn't sound like any improvement really.
|
| |
Whitechapel is fucking good, sorry if you don't like heavy music TomAkaVeto.
His vocals are too nigga yelling and not brutal enough.
This isn't bad, but it's just not very good either.
|
| |
Ugh, then after the part I was like, oh this sounds a bit too much like Through The Eyes Of The Dead, they go into the most GENERIC breakdown with a "dissonant" lead part possible.
The song lost all of its credibility by putting those two parts back to back.
|
| |
better than i was expecting, about average.
|
| |
Ahahahaha deathcore.
This sucks.
|
| |
damn those triggers.
|
| |
these guys are bad ass.
|
| |
^Your name gives me enough of a reason not to believe you.
|
| |
These guys are becoming one of my favorite acts
|
| |
^ this
funny how this band gets a shit ton of hate but all the other deathcore bands don't?
|
| |
They all get hate, you're just too dumb to notice.
|
| |
unjustifiably.
|
| |
they don't half as much as other bands. go look at the depths page and then at a carnifex or a suicide silence review and see the difference.
|
| |
Their isn't any difference, you're just too blind and dumb to notice. Keep listening to your garbage and until you stop, don't post anymore.
|
| |
funny how this band gets a shit ton of hate but all the other deathcore bands don't?
retards on here hate on fucking whitechapel and kota, and tbh they're like two of the best...
|
| |
"retards on here hate on fucking whitechapel and kota, and tbh they're like two of the best... "
That's like being the smartest kid with down syndrome.
|
| |
Pretty fail tbh. Not my fault you homos can't take heavy music.
|
| |
Wait actually. I HATE DEATHCORE, AM I SMART NOW?!
|
| |
You don't like deathcore, that's SUPER COOL dude.
Man I wish I could have AWESOME SICK tastes like you.
|
| |
I find deathcore really fun. It's pure mosh.
|
| |
You could mappy, if you just followed the 5 A's of Awesomeness.
|
| |
No one caught my Situation usage? I feel like I did all of that for nothing.
|
| |
I think I'll just like/dislike things based on personal tastes instead of trying to be cool. =]
|
| |
Where's the fun in that? And since when is it "cool" to not like deathcore? If I'm not mistaken, deathcore is one of the biggest trends in the metal scene today.
|
| |
It was always a way to seem, "elite," for metal heads to hate on up-and-coming deathcore bands before the scene blew up. On top of this, anyone who cares too much about their music tastes getting bashed vehemently denies liking all deathcore.
But you're not really somebody involved with the metal scene, so I'm not gonna expect you to know these things.
|
| |
How would you know I'm not involved in the metal scene? You seem so good at sniffing out trolls and alts, but did you completely swing and miss on me?
|
| |
Hardcore kids always hated it because it's not really hardcore.
Metal kids always hated it because they don't like "hardcore."
The scene blew up, and now everyone outside the scene hates it. What's bigger, the deathcore scene, or every other trend and style in music added together?
|
| |
How would you know I'm not involved in the metal scene? You seem so good at sniffing out trolls and alts, but did you completely swing and miss on me?
You're not a troll or an alt, you're an extremely serious black scene kid I can tell this.
|
| |
You think you know so much, yet you know so little about me, Mappy.
|
| |
And you know you want this big, black hunk of meat.
|
| |
I do. But you can kindly suck it and jam the fuck out to The Annihilation Of Expectations until you're into deathcore.
|
| |
I'd rather not. I really don't want cancer.
|
| |
deathcore now is what nu metal was in the 90s...just because it's "one of the biggest trends in the metal scene today" doesn't make it good...i mean c'mon...you can only do a breakdown so many ways, and theyve been done..all of them..wayyyy too much. we get it, its "br00tal"...that's why you guys hardcore dance to this shit right? hahahahahaha hardcore dancing=fail
|
| |
Thanks for the update, opethfan88. You work for Fox News or something?
|
| |
no way is deathcore like nu-metal these days. back then nu-metal was so mainstream and everybody loved the shit out of it, deathcore is not mainstream at all and never will be. you cant compare the blowing up of the two at all. all the old school metalheads cannot keep living in the past and move on. i like both genres, death metal and deathcore it just annoys me hearing how much deathcore sucks coming from the old school fans because they cant adapt.
|
| |
No, it's because deathcore sucks.
|
| |
band has horrible vocals
|
| |
Defending good deathcore and defending oceano are 2 different things. I enjoy good deathcore that has actual substance and variation. This is usually only achieved with superior technicality as is the case with After the Burial and similar bands. Most deathcore is bad. period. This is coming from a deathcore fan. It's sad that the vast majority of good and original deathcore bands get overshadowed by the worst bands in the genre that just regurgitate "what deathcore should sound like", hence oceano, suicide silence, whitechapel, etc.........it's like if you wanna play grindcore, play grindcore! Don't pussyfoot around playing dissonant garbage and ultra slow breakdowns and act like it's "new" and totally br00tal.
|
| |
And the whole "metal elites" hating on deathcore argument is ridiculous. Oceano is shitty enough for hate to flood in from all spectrums of the metal community.
|
| |
Deathcore for the most part = horrible.
I'll agree, but there are mad good bands in the style.
Rifles At Recess and Within The Ruins for example.
|
| |
guys are you trully retarded? this is BLACKCORE, seriously
|
| |
Within the Ruins is probably my favorite band right now but idk how anyone can justify listening to WTR and then listen to cowshit like oceano.
|
| |
Because some people like Oceano for God knows what reason. My friend who got me into WTR for example, ugh.
|
| |
i like all those bands you mentioned but i also enjoy oceano, i like everything in the deathcore genre.
|
| |
Then you're an idiot.
|
| |
than
|
| |
Thank you mappy. I'm a bit out of my mind right now.
|
| |
go download The Contortionist if you want good deathcore.
|

Or Juggernaut.
|
| |
Or jugger-not
|
| |
Jugger-yes.
|
| |
A big jugger-NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOo
|
| |
What happed to the fat guy?
|
| |
On second listen, this is pretty brutal. Middle part's a bit overly generic though.
|
| |
lets all get along here guise. if you dont like it who cares. i love deathcore but i stilll listen to "real" metal. in my opinion its all just metal. I'm listening to Mastodon right now but my favorite band is Whitechapel.

Wow, a deathcore band releases a new song. Let's make fun of it, and the people who listen to it, because NO, we NEVER listened to the genre to get into better bands.
|
| |
I agree it's pretty bad, but seriously, the hate is getting a little out of hand. So what guys, so what.
|
| |
i dont listen to deathcore because just about every band sucks in the genre
|
| |
veil of maya, born of Osiris, within the ruins, after the burial. 4 great bands if you want something more technical and might match up to your elitist taste, probably not though.
|
| |
^ hes probably never heard of those obscure metalcore bands before.

Chugga chugga, apregio sweep, chugga chugga, breakdown, pig squeal. Repeat.
|

^ its the same with every genre so whats your point? all genres have specific elements that make them what they are.
|
| |
These bands have very little to set themselves apart from their contemporaries, it's just a massive wall of cliches. Deathcore is a new genre and it already seems out of ideas. Yes, all genres have specific elements that make them what they are, but that has nothing to do with using the same exact formula over and over again without taking it anywhere new. Tell me at least two things that set this band apart from so many other deathcore bands out there, and no joke answers about the vocalist's race please.
|
| |
Wait aren't After the Burial more metalcore anyway? And Veil of Maya and Born of Osiris do maybe use two unique ideas that get old quick.
|
| |
Veil Of Maya is pretty damn good regardless.
|
| |

Deathcore's been around for almost 20 years now, js.
And just because the majority of the bands in the genre are derivative retards, doesn't make it so that the entire genre is all the same. You could seriously make that blanket statement about ANY style of music bro.
Some bands I feel stand out:
Rifles At Recess: way ahead of their time in the mixing of melodeath and metalcore.
Knights Of The Abyss: a band that's been able to deal with a lot of sound changes successfully, without sounding forced - albeit they've dealt with a lot of line-up changes from the start.
Graves Of Valor: one of the most purely death metal deathcore bands there is, and they actually have hardcore elements most of their contemporaries.
I'll add more to my list when I have time, boyfriend's here. :D
|
| |
I know metalcore has been around for a while, but "deathcore" has been around for 20 years? I guess I need to do some research.
Also, judging from the song posted above, Veil of Maya would be a lot better if they would stop stringing their songs together with generic breakdowns. At least the predictable guitar solos and other interludes that bands in other genres use sound less homogeneous. Pretty much the whole foundation of this genre lacks variation.
P.S. This whole "BRUTAL" thing is one of the worst things to happen to heavy music.
|
| |
listen to stuff like veil of maya, within the ruins and BoO, they sound different to your cookie cutter deathcore. but its the same with every genre, you get most bands who stick to the genres main elements and fuse a formula together to use instead of branching out and trying to be creative. look at bands like korn, limp bizkit, slipknot, paparoch, they all sound a like but were way more popular than the deathcore bands today. its just annoying to see so many people hate on deathcore for having so many bands with a generic sound but not on any other genres.
|
| |
STOP REC'ING SHIT BANDS TO PEOPLE! WE'RE BEGGING YOU!
|
| |
Those bands suck. Deathcore sucks. If you want to hear good breakdowns, listen to Suffocation.
|
| |
this band can foad
|
| |
Shadow's got the right dig.
|
| |
the new album is going to have guest vocals from molotov solution's lead singer. it looks like its coming along nicely and adam's vocals have improved a lot.
|
| |
shut up dude
|
| |
"Thanks for the update, opethfan88. You work for Fox News or something?"
-no, the people on that network deserve to die. also, i'm not an "old school fan" or whatever similar term you wanna use. i once loved the "core" genres back in high school but it got boring, unoriginal, and people started liking it even more when it got worse. now, its a relatively mainstream genre in the world of metal. every band does the same general shit. not something i can respect or appreciate.
wanna know whats on the rise for the "core"? a genre called "djentcore" watch out for it...think meshuggah with breakdowns and other "core" elements.
