GNR Manager: CD Out This Year

2006-09-24 by Dave de Sylvia EMERITUS | 14 Comments
Chinese Democracy will finally be released this year!- well, not really, but it's fun to get excited about.

According to a posting by apparent insider Mysteron at fan site Here Today... Gone To Hell!, Guns N Roses manager (and Sanctuary CEO) Merck Mercuriadis has reiterated that Chinese Democracy will see daylight this year:

Wrote Merck: "The US tour starts on the 20th of October in Jacksonville and the shows that were due to take place between the 27th of September and the 2nd of October have just been moved to fit into the body of the tour. There will be an announcement next week of the entire tour. The rest of the below message is crap. The album will be out this year as Axl has previously stated.

this is in response to the following posted at newgnr

I've heard it weeks before, but didn't want to post it straight away for obvious reasons. The story is, we've heard from someone very high up in the food chain of the GNR tour that all California shows after KROQ will be postponed until December. The source continues.. "After Sept 23rd, the band goes into studio to complete final mixing of the album, and the album will come out before December" ... "Towards new years, they will fly to Miami for a show... and ON new years eve, they plan to perform in Dubai" ... take it for what it is, still a rumour."

Axl Rose walks into a bar.

Bartender says, "What do you want to drink, Axl?"

Axl Rose responds, "NEVER LOL".

"and ON new years eve, they plan to perform in Dubai"

Being a resident of Dubai, i can almost guarantee you they wont be performing here. Nice rumour though.

Theres an annual Metal festival here. Dubai desert rock..Megadeth played last year, it was their bassists first show with them i think..testament machine head and sepultura also came. There are alot of metal fans here..but not so sure about guns and roses. People will probably show up just for the fun of it.

As I've stated before, Chinese Democracy is like an actual Chinese democracy. It's never gonna happen.

If Axl took any longer releasing this album then, well......He wouldn't be releasing it very fast at all now would he?
