Skid Row Plan Album Release

2006-09-23 by Dave de Sylvia EMERITUS | 7 Comments
Reformed sleaze rockers Skid Row release their fifth studio album 'Revolutions Per Minute' next month, their second with replacement singer Johnny Solinger.

Skid Row hit the big-time in 1989 with the release of their self-titled debut, helped partially by the backing of Jon Bon Jovi. Their sophomore release, Slave To The Grind made history by becoming the first heavy metal album to hit #1 on the Billboard charts, and was the most successful fusion of thrash and glam executed before the scene blew up.

Singer Sebastian Bach left the band in the mid-90s to pursue solo projects, unsuccessfully as it turned out, and in the early '00s the remaining members regrouped with singer Solinger, ex- of the imaginatively titled 'Solinger,' and released Thickskin to moderate critical approval.

Revolutions Per Minute hits stores October 24.

I cant imagine it being better than Rise Against's RPM. I wonder if theyll have a more modern sound or stick to the glam rock.
