The Bends or Pablo Honey would be their "heavier" albums I guess, but don't go into them expecting something even resembling metal. Pablo Honey's a little grungy, sorta, but a lot of that comes from Creep.

Amnesiac is a must, that's where I would go first but I don't represent the general population there.

Amnesiac and In Rainbows are fantastic, but I could not get into Hail to the Thief too much.

Amnesiac rules, Hail to the Thief is great despite being possibly their weakest album (Pablo Honey notwithstanding), and In Rainbows is almost a 5 for me.

Amnesiac's easily my third favorite. Hail to the Thief, In Rainbows and The Bends kind of switch depending on my mood but they're a cut below for me.

Radiohead is a very mood band. They suite almost any mood though. I would love to meet someone who loves Pablo Honey more than OK Computer or Kid A and then hear their argument.

And Amnesiac is meh, people. Heck, at least Pablo Honey has a couple standout songs ("Creep," "Anyone Can Play Guitar"), Amnesiac has none IMO. Don't worry, I realize I'm in the minority.

I agree on HTTT being underappreciated, 2+2=5 and Sit Down Stand Up is my personal favorite album opener from Radiohead.

2+2=5 is one of my favorite Radiohead songs, but I can't get into HttT as a whole.

I wouldn't mind it being the album of orchestral music they were talking about.

Listening to Airbag changed my whole perception of music as a whole. I plunged into that album straightaway. OK Computer gives me goosebumps even now.

So do Kid A, Amnesiac, Hail to the Thief. For some reason could not get into In Rainbows but am planning giving it a listen now.

I only like The Bends... I bought In Rainbows when it came out years ago. I don't like it much, aside from Reckoner, Weird Fishes... Well, now that I see this, I might crack out the album. I never gave In Rainbows much of a chance since I was in my indie rock phase 3 years ago.
