Just had the conversation the other day about how ridiculously overrated these guys are and how inane and laughable their lyrics are. Hope i never hear a single one of these songs.
Examples of said lyrical genius:
"Abra-abra-cadabra. I want to reach out and grab ya."
"Keep me burnin' for your love with the touch of a velvet glove."
"Everything's better when wet."
"Really love your peaches want to shake your tree."

Yeah, I'm assuming you've never heard his early stuff which was more like jam-rock blues...but the shocking revelation that radio friendly rock songs don't have deep poetic lyrics is earth-shattering.

The reason people like these guys are their insanely catchy melodies and laid back vibe. Anyone who doesn't like The Joker needs to smoke a joint.
