All Shall Perish line-up changes

2010-06-07 by syco722 | 25 Comments
Oakland band All Shall Perish have replaced drummer Matt Kuykendall with Adam Pierce, formerly of Sea of Treachery.

The band have also announced that guitarist Francesco Artusato will join the band for their forthcoming tours, replacing Jason Richardson who left to join Born of Osiris earlier this year.

Sucks. Matt was an incredible drummer and I hope he finds another band.

On the bright side, the new guitarist looks like a good replacement for Chris, as Francesco's playing style is very similar his, but with a broader range of influences outside of metal:

Judging from the first video, maybe they'll have some acoustic stuff on the next ASP album??

Unless of course he goes more along the lines of the second video, in which case the new ASP record will sound pretty much like Awaken the Dreamers. Hopefully they'll find a good mixture of the two.

I'm sure it won't really make a difference, I think when they choose to release their next album it's going to kick major ass, might have less distracting blastbeats though :P

the drummer replacement is still good though.

also the guitarist is fucking stupid. leave an incredible deathcore band to join a sub-par sumerian one.

Yeah I remember talking to him at the seattle show a while ago.

He basically said BOO was alot more fun to play in and more laidback. He said asp was all stress and not fun at all.

*shrugs.

Don't care at all for All Shall Perish, but he's a really good guitar player.

Band has one alright album (Hate. Malice. Revenge.), one good album (The Price Of Existence), and a horrible album (Awaken The Dreamers)... I don't really see why anyone gets hyped about them anymore, maybe the hype made sense in like 2007, but seriously...

It's a record label full of generic tech death bands

This worries me.

I've loved everything they've done and a big part of that was Chris Storey and Matt.

I'm really curious to hear some new stuff now.

the price of existence was certainly not 'slightly above average'.

I would say that Awaken the Dreamers and Price of Existence are both above average especially for the genre.

Sumerian has one good band. They have The Faceless who are absolutely amazing and should just switch to a better label.

The Price of Existence is a GREAT album, and awaken the dreamers was good, but not as good as I was expecting after TPOE.

The first five songs are top-notch and then it just kind of feels like they needed to fill in the rest of the album. Hopefully their new sound with the new members will change to a mixture of TPOE with some new.

Will be interesting to hear what changes they will make this time though, with the new guitarist and drummer.
