Axl Tries To Explain Himself

2006-09-16 by Stormy Smiley Face | 16 Comments
At the MTV Video Music Awards Show Axl Rose of Guns N' Roses attempted to explain his reasoning for having yet to release the new GNR album, "Chinese Democracy."

"It's not about being a control freak," he said. "It's about being maybe smart enough to go, 'No, that's a bad idea.' That's all it's about keeping the ability to at least have a shot as opposed to something that's just an obvious disaster. I want to make a good record. I don't want to throw a brick. This cannot be Shaq at the free-throw line."

Supposedly, Axl also said that the new record will be out by the end of 2006. I, of course, believe every word the man says and fully trust this latest statement.

I bet it'll eventually be released as a post-humous record.

this album is sooo gonna be scrutinised by critics for the slightest flaw and they're gonna jump on it. it's a farce really...whats become of this band and this album.

When it finally drops, it's going to be so anticlimactic that he really shouldn't have bothered in the first place.

I like how he states that... makes him sound pretty smart, i think what hes trying to say is "I've ruined G'N'R beyond any point of recognition"
