Interpol have lost Carlos D

2010-05-10 by Aaron | 27 Comments
Where could he be? That Carlos D?

Carlos Dengler, the sharply dressed and ever smiling bass-player for Interpol, has split from the band following the
recording of their newest album. As with all band statements, it's indicated to be an amicable end to his tenure in
the band. His recent work in film, My Friends Told Me About You, may indicate his future direction, however no
confirmation of this has been given beyond the statement "He has decided to follow another path, and to pursue
new goals."

Read about this last night, it's a shame since this band is meh and he was the only one with talent.

This is really shitty news. They're gonna have to work really hard to find a replacement for him imo. He was incredible.
I also have a hunch that this has been brewing for awhile. They're opening for U2 later this year for christsakes. It doesn't make sense to leave at this point in time.

no Paul Banks did all the singing and the other guitar player had a few parts where he sang stuff too (like at the end of PDA)...still, with basslines like in EVIL and Narc it def. sucks that he's gone.

Yea, I will agree that after Antics I really stopped caring much anyways and this isn't much different...first two albums I dug but Our Love to Admire was really missing something...like even one song I liked for it's catchiness...c'mon Interpol.
