Yes! Art is sick, can't wait.
| |
Can't wait! Hope this is as good as the last two. A disappointment of an album out of these guys would crush me.
| |
^looking forward to this
| |
They had a studio video up for literally one day last week and every snippet of music from that had EPIC written all over it. Just going to rock out to AILD and Ghost Inside's new albums while I wait till the end of June! This will be probably the first and only album I physically go out and buy.
| |
i LOVE these guys. I am pumped.
| |
Yes! Buddy and I were just talking about hopes for a new Parkway Drive album sometime soon and it seems our silent prayers have been answered.
Here's hoping there will be plenty of "So cry me a fucking river bitch!"
| |
Love the logo but the cover art is shite IMO, still excited PWD are a guilty pleasure of mine
| |
fuck yeah
| |
Albuim will contain 400 breakdowns and the same "I can't believe it's not melo-death" riffs that littered the first album.
| |
I'm excited for this, digging the art actually.
| |
i agree with you 100% Taylor, but goddamn i'm gonna enjoy it
| |
Albuim will contain 400 breakdowns and the same "I can't believe it's not melo-death" riffs that littered the first album.
We don't agree on much, but that line says it all
| |
Never gave this band a chance because I thought their name made them sound like a pansy emocore shittuplet.
| |
Well give em a chance, cuz they are sick as FUHHHHH. Stoked for this album!
| |
"Albuim will contain 400 breakdowns and the same "I can't believe it's not melo-death" riffs that littered the first album."
The first album was plagued by that, but I'm still looking forward to this.
| |
fuckin' righteous
| |
I SEE NO ART.
| |
I like these guys, they are nothing innovative, but they are entertaining. Will check this out
| |
im pretty excited for this, they put on a GREAT live show.
| |
one cannot deny that
| |
One of my favorite bands, can't wait for this
| |
"Albuim will contain 400 breakdowns and the same "I can't believe it's not melo-death" riffs that littered the first album"
oh go write a poorly written neg review of this about how it's not as good as misery signals.
| |
well misery signals destroys this band anyway
| |
fact^
| |
nothing wrong with liking some parkway drive
| |
yeah but comparing misery signals to this band is retarded.
| |
Stoked.
| |
yes, Misery Signals do in fact destroy Parkway Drive. And that has nothing to do with how much I will play the fuck out of this for the first two weeks this is out.
Albuim will contain 400 breakdowns and the same "I can't believe it's not melo-death" riffs that littered the first album.
yep, and that's exactly what I'm hoping for. Honestly, I don't want anything else from these guys, they're pretty much the best at derivative metalcore and anything more will be a disappointment.
| |
Lol, you take the catchiness out of their records and take away all of their pathetic fans, and every music elitist would be creaming their pants over this announcement
| |
misery signals kicks the shit out of most metalcore, IMO
| |
^yeah, out of the bands still making records, only Converge, Coalesce and Poison the Well are better imo.
and pit, yeah. But you'd have to take out the palm-muting too...
| |
Okay, so take out the catchiness, annoying fans, palm-muting,(adding one) and breakdowns, and this is a Sputnik elitists wet dream
| |
these guys kinda suck but their vocalist KICKS ASS
| |
vocalist is easily the best part of the band. Imagine what he could do in a real death metal band...
| |
He has great highs, lows and everything in between. The drummer isn't bad at all, either
| |
i know aye, or even a decent hardcore band. would be sick.
| |
yeah but comparing misery signals to this band is retarded.
Well, I suppose it makes sense that you're the only person here doing that.
| |
vocalist is all like "rawr rawr rawr" and i'm like whoa
| |
"There's BLOOD IN THE WATERRRRRRRR!!!"
"I'd rather see your face in hell, then speak another word, on this perfect FUCKING WORLLLDDD!"
I NEVER get tired of that...
| |
Metalcore has become such a bullshit genre term due to the fact that it is such a huge umbrella and encompasses bands that are nothing alike.
| |
^123123123123
| |
...same, like Converge/Misery Signals in the same genre as TDWP, what the fuck is with that
| |
"Metalcore has become such a bullshit genre term due to the fact that it is such a huge umbrella and encompasses bands that are nothing alike."
Right, but who the bands don't generally say they are part of a genre. People like us do. So who's really to blame for that?
| |
tbh metalcore's umbrella problem is the same thing that has bands like Escape the Fate and From First to Last being in the same genre as Fugazi and ATDI. There aren't exactly a lot of segragated genres anymore.
| |
There is no way to categorize bands correctly and not get intensely bogged down with stupid ass subgenre arguments that go nowhere
| |
What I don't get is how some people can just absolutely hate a genre because of one or two bands(in metalcore's case, way more than that). You can easily pick the good from the bad, and leave the rest behind.
| |
that is when people start genre arguments so they can say they hate all metalcore but they like, say, Misery Signals because Mis Sigs are "Technical Hardcore" not metalcore. It is all fucking stupid
| |
I will admit i've been in my fair share of genre debates, but over the years i've figured if the music is good, the music is good. It doesn't matter who has made it, what genre it is, or what kind of people like it. For instance, Parkway Drive. They might not be the "pinnacle of metalcore" or the most creative band, but they still make catchy metalcore that you can bob your head to.
| |

so true, which is why zippermouth needs to stfu about metalcore sucking.
| |
lol, who the fuck is zippermouth?
| |
To quote Wizard: "No offense Zipper, you're 15 and you speak like you know everything."
| |
@pit zippermouth is called Zip now i think. hes some dude who thinks metalcore sucks and takes every opportunity to tell anyone this. but he likes deathcore so
| |
so he is a fucking hypocrite
| |
I could pick out ten metalcore bands that I enjoy right now, but I won't cause I might get shit on
| |
deathcore=bastard son of metalcore
| |
"deathcore=bastard son of metalcore"
this, except for a couple of bands
| |
i say put your ten metalcore bands out on the line. just do it.
| |
true, i exclude all shall perish, animosity, and despised icon(go ahead and hate) from that comment
| |
All Shall Perish have one great album and two less than good ones.
| |
hopefully this is more Killing With a Smile than Horizons.
| |
um, The Red Chord...but ASP does have some good stuff
| |
forgot The Red Chord.... damn
| |
I love the title track on Awaken the Dreamers fosho
| |
Killing With A Smile and Horizons are not different by any means. KWAS just has shittier production and is therefore more legit.
| |
^this
| |
ten metalcore bands enjoy
All That Remains
Still Remains
Silent Civilian
Machinemade God
Burn In Silence
Incarpathia
Feed Her To The Sharks
Defy The Laws of Tradition
Fuck Your Shadows From Behind
Eighteen Visions

| |
i hope your mentioning Until the Ink Runs Out/Vanity era Eighteen Visions
| |
Yeah. I like Obsession too, but I don't know if I'd consider that metalcore
| |
na blad victims a sik choon
| |
I couldn't stand obsession. just sounded like they wanted to be STP
| |
the breakdown in tower of snakes is awesome though.
| |
it's okay
| |
Pretty stoked for this.
| |

| |
haha
| |
This should be good

| |
Looking forward to this
| |
bands slays live and the guys are pretty chill too, been hangin for this to drop for a while now. I saw them recently and they played a new song and it was pretty damn good. I read that they are going for a heavier sound too
| |
Winston is a beast, looking forward to this now
| |
What am i supposed to make of the comparison the producer made, of Deep Blue, being their "BLack Album".....?
| |
