Verse riff sounds like a slowed down Meshuggah. Song is okay, I prefer Roller Blades or whatever it's called.

Track 3 has an amazing chorus and verse that are even matched by the badass bridge. I like how Chino almost goes falsetto during the chorus but then ends off screaming, it sounds pretty sweet. Guitars are sounding more and more like a slowed down Meshuggah, but they're pretty much just the usual 7 string chugs. Song is 4:21 long.

8 has a boring chorus which I don't like and 9 is an instrumental.

On first listen, this seems set to become a Deftones classic. A heavier album than Saturday Night Wrist, it has massive influence from both Around The Fur and White Pony.

This is definitely going to be at least a 4.5

I liked this more than Rocket Skates even. I agree with Deviant, sounds like a mix of White Pony and self-titled, I'd even go as far to say they incorporated the more atmospheric and ambient elements from B-Sides and Rarities (see Cure, Duran Duran and Sade influence, maybe even some Far). It was really, really fucking good.

This is the most pumped I've been about an album since, fuck, I dunno.. since Deftones released self-titled haha.

yeah, I'm sure. I used to not want to hear albums in advance, but I've longed abandoned that stance with bands that I absolutely KNOW I'll be purchasing upon release. Such as Deftones, Poison the Well, DEP, Brand New, Converge, etc.

Album is weird, lush and beautiful. Definitely the top contender of my musical attention in 2010. Donate to Chi!

I found the leak and gave it a "spin" on my ipod. So far I'm underwhelmed but I often need to listen to an album a few times before it really clicks with me. I'll keep at it...
