Well at least it was better than the last song they released. Not bad, but still not restoring my faith in the Smashing Corgans.

Song for a son gives me nostalgia of Siamese Dream era. These songs from the new album are seeming to be pretty great so far. Most of you guys hating on new SP forget that Corgan wrote 2/3 of old SP material anyway. It is really not that different.

So what you're saying is that because Corgan wrote old Smashing Pumpkins, which was good, this new stuff, which Corgan also wrote, is therefore good too?

Well yes, that does happen to be my implication in a way. But if you're asking me if I would appreciate anything by Corgan, regardless of whether the songs were actually good or not is absurd.

this is kinda a cool song...i'm cautiously optimistic about this album

A Song for a Son was good, Widow Wake My Mind was VERY meh, and this....just based off the first listen, was pretty good. I wouldn't mind listening to it again. Then again, this is coming from someone who ISN'T the biggest Pumpkins fan in general. Hell, i don't even care for a lot of their old stuff. They've written a lot of 90's classics, yes, but i truthfully never cared that much for songs like 1979, Today and Disarm.

But as far as this project goes...so far, Corgan's got a record of 2-1 here. Hopefully we see more songs added to that "2".

I really liked this song, not a huge fan of mellow Pumpkins so hopefully with the next 4 song EP they release some more aggressive Zero-esque stuff.
