'By The Sword,' the lead single from Velvet Revolver guitarist Slash's self-titled debut solo album, has been posted at AOL's Spinner.

The track is a collaboration with Wolfmother frontman Andrew Stockdale. Other musicians featuring on the track include drummer Josh Freese and former Jane's Addiciton bassist Chris Chaney.

Slash is scheduled for release on April 6.

There are peoples in this world that have been in comas since 1991. Don't be so insensitive.

Having Stockdale's voice on it makes the song sound like a Wolfmother song feat. Slash rather than vice versa.

Sounds like a Wolfmother song, if Slash wanted to do a true solo album he should've been doing the vocals as well.

Slash's Snakepit, not really a solo effort, basically Guns N' Roses minus Axl Rose.

It's a pretty modest song. I guess it's indicative of something most optimists might expect from a Slash solo album: slightly above average tracks with some interesting guitar work. The album might just turn out okay.
