Looks like they went to a completely different artist this time around. It still reeks of High on Fire and that's all I care about. All hail Matt Pike!

They're simplistic in their execution. I'm under the impression that alot of people go into these guys expecting something complicated, based on the fact that alot of people praise Matt Pike and his guitar work.

I saw them last year with Baroness and Opeth and thought it was a real snoozer.

i saw 'em 08 with opeth and baroness and i felt the same way, but their studio work is incredible

well you'll have to rec me something if you actually think they're worth my time, i just know i was really let down by their live performance and lack of hygiene.

We just agreed twice.

You have to see High on Fire in a small club. I have seen them 6 times. And in the smaller clubs, you can really feel the power of their music. They usually get horrible sound opening up for big bands in arenas unfortunately. The fact that you haven't enjoyed them live, I feel bad for you.

I've seen them in both and both instances, they were ok.

They sound like a poor man's Kyuss.

I agree with Steelerectedb4you8er totally. Ive seen them in a big venue and small club. Matt Pike destroys live.

Maybe the club doesn't have good sound. I don't know, I have seen High on Fire on a good night more than a bad night out of the times I have seen them. Double Door in Chicago being the best.

cool band. artwork sucks, easily their worst. i expected something badass (like the past 4 albums...) instead i get this power metal-esque garbage.

Dont really understand all the hype in the music press on these guys, there were a couple of really good songs on Communion but most of the songs are weak and all the hype on Mike's playing has no foundation...some of his solos are off but the fucker can write some moster riffs though. I agree with halloway, the artwork would work better for a powermetal band....good technique nonetheless, I couldn't paint like that.
