Hey look, it's Jesus.
On point, I really like the song, especially the dual vocals. Super stoked for this to be released.

Just don't be lazy and copy/paste it.
|
| |
not too impressed
|
| |
Theeir band pic made me lol.
Song is a bit cheesy, but great. i'm excited for this.
|
| |
oh and "Sapari" is an actual Yemenite folk song, Orphaned Land just arranged it so i'm hoping the rest will be even better.
|
| |
not sure what to think of the song yet...album art's cool though
|
| |
It's ok.
|
| |
they didn't write the song niggas
|
| |
bleh
|
| |
ok song. too much like Mabool even though Mabool is a great album. i have heard from Coke that the new album is pretty much Mabool 2.0 which is really disappointing as there are places they can change things up and add a different approach to keep their sound fresh
|
| |
nice - this has a groove that wasn't really present on Mabool
|
| |
I saw them play two nights ago in Tel Aviv, it was an amazing concert. The songs from the new album all sounded great.
|
| |
Slightly unrelated, but someone needs to add the religious pic to their band page on here.
|
| |
I enjoy this band.
|
| |
Pretty bad song. Also, LOL so hard at the top of their myspace page.
|
| |
Song is poor

Why metalheads wank over these guys beats the shit out of me.
|
| |
Middle eastern folk music appeals to me. I'd actually prefer it if they dropped the growls and heavy guitars.
|
| |
The amount of culture clashing on their last album has me suspecting that these guys don't know what the fuck they're doing.
|
| |
@ Balls: The growls are a nuisance, but without those heavy guitars I don't see how they could be called metal.

lol they're doing it on purpose.

this X1000.
|
| |
It seemed a bit corny, but a decent song.
|
| |
Doesn't sound much like Mabool actually, sounds far less interesting. Just listen to the intro to Ocean Land. I guess it would help if I could stand Shlomit's voice.
|
| |
"Why metalheads wank over these guys beats the shit out of me." Wiz if you can't listen to Mabool and admit that there is some fantastic stuff going on there, even if not throughout it, I just don't know man... it's the only Orphaned Land album I like. Chances are that won't change with OrwarriOR, because it appears they've started believing their own hype.
|
| |
I would think that Orphaned Land would appeal more to fans of world/folk music than metalheads, maybe that's just me though.
I just hope there are less growls on this upcoming record.
|
| |
I thought the growls were utilized perfectly on Mabool...just enough. The cleaner vocal melodies are definitely the highlight but if the growls weren't present something would have been missing.
|
| |
Balls I can see your point. But sadly Sapari sounds like it's significantly less folky (and it's a traditional folk song for crissake) than Mabool and the metal elements pre-date Mabool's polish. So far I'm worried this album will appeal to neither folk/world music fans or metalheads. We shall see. Mabool had a track or two that would have made bad singles too, so for all we know the rest of the album will own righteously.
|
| |
And if I see one more photo of Kobi posed as Jesus Christ I'm going to nominate him for the most pretentious frontman award.
|
| |
lol they're doing it on purpose.
Sounds like shit.

I will admit that their competent musicians but they write boring songs. Plus, the cultural elements feel really forced, just look at the ridiculous photo of them at the top of this page for further proof. Nothing really stood out for my on the album but I will give it another shot, just so I know I'm sure of my opinion ; ).
|
| |
Some of the cultural stuff is too far...like the female vocals at the end of The Kiss Of Babylon. But overall I like it.
