Coheed And Cambria Album Details

2009-12-07 by Coma1996 | 47 Comments
Coheed and Cambria will release the final chapter of their long running Amory Wars saga in April 2010. Titled 'Year of the Black Rainbow', this chapter will be a prequel to the story, with a greater focus on the coming about of Coheed and Cambria.

The album will be produced by Atticus Ross (NIN) and Joe Barresi (QOTSA, Isis, Alexisonfire) and song titles such as 'Here We are Juggernaut,' 'The Broken,' 'Pearl of the Stars,' and 'Guns of Summer' will feature.

Accompanying the release will be a deluxe package that will include a 300+ page novel (Year of the Black Rainbow). Presales of this deluxe package will begin at the end of december through the band's official website.

Big question is after this has come out and The Wars saga is done, what happens to the band?

Thanks bodominflames - fixed up the problem

LegendofPittman - Yeah we are everywhere ;)

I would be expecting a Prize Fighter Inferno and Davenport album to pop up in the wake of this final chapter.

Claudio said that Year of the Black Rainbow will likely be the last in the Amory Wars Saga. I kind of doubt that this is the last they'll do of the war saga just because it's become synonymous with Coheed and vice versa.

^ Agreed.
Worse case scenario is that they try and do an album without a story... and I can not see that.

Judging from this news, this album is destined to win. Has potential to be their best record production wise of all.

What's to come after this album? The Amory Wars Saga is what MADE this band what it is today. That, along with the band's amazing lyrical and instrumental ability.

I wonder if they'll change their name again to create another story, and MORE BRILLIANT music? Always possible, eh? I hope Claudio and the gang continue to constantly produce epic material.

Another concern of mine is Claudio's relationship with Chondra. Is she going to try and change his music? Is she going to get in the way?

The title is okay, but I'm not that impressed with it. It seems like a cheesy, tasteless album title. It doesn't seem to give off a very epic vibe, like the other four did. I hope the title is still being decided, or it's in a rough-draft stage.

Overall, I've been eagerly awaiting a new album, and I can't wait to get my hands on it along with that 300+ page book.

I have a feeling it might be a novel of the whole story. I hope so, but either way I'm stoked to read it!

Album will be win. International roadrunner licensing may also make for some kickass tour lineups in the future.

chris's drumming is going to add so much. plus, I think they've still got some neverender high in them. and I think claudio has said that he has plenty of other plotlines that are occurring in heaven's fence that can be followed, and that once the amory war is completed, they'll move on to other things in the fence.

I wonder if they'll opt for any sort of varied production on this: (lower-fi)? Ditch the Bogners? Probably not, but would be cool since this is actually pre-SSTB in the story time-line.
