I'm guessing a few of you may like this. I have to get off here, but I saw this and thought I should post it.

Cheers,

If Tool keeps doing that "one album every 5 years" thing they've been doing since Aenima, then we'll have an album in '11.

Should be good when it comes. Though I do agree, a new Tool album interests me more for some reason.

FUUUUUUUUUUUCK YES. Can't wait to hear some new APC. Hope it doesn't conflict with Iha's touring schedule with TW, though.

Well, that is the band that inspired the name.

It's kind of hard to believe since most of the members have been tied up with other projects. Freese with Weezer, Jeordie with Manson, Howerdel with Ashes, etc.

Getting ties up with Ashes was a waste of Howerdel's time. It may be better than touring with Manson or Weezer, but this is where he belongs.

I'll give you that, APC at their best beats the hell out of uninspired Tool, but I still feel like Tool have more potential to make another amazing CD

Uninspired Tool? but APC with the same front-man and half as talented musicians ARE inspired? OK... Cuz Adam Jones has no talent and Danny is a terrid drummer....lol. APC is great but it is just music Maynard craps out when he isn't co-creating his real project, Tool.

pretty sure he never said that adam or danney had no talent. uninspired = lazy. eg: Lipan Conjuring and Viginti Tres (yes i know it coincides with the hidden song, but it still doesn't add shit to the album otherwise).

Lazy doesn't imply talented to me. As for Lipan Conjuring and Viginti Tres Viginiti Tres has the whole #23 mystical vibe that is interesting to many and is art to Tool so take it or leave it but I can't see lazy. Lipan is cool sounding and has supposed connection to a Lipan tribe or some shit and conjuring them up for some fing reason but I just simply take it as a good palate cleanser in between the pot and lost keys.

pdbn, I strongly disagree. APC is a completely different project than Tool. I find it really unfair when people compare the two, but even though I would call it more than just "music Maynard craps out". Come on man. That whole band is ridiculously talented. With the 13th Step lineup especially. If this news is true it totally made my night. My old favorite band...I hope it turns out well.

APC isn't even Maynard's band, it's Howerdels. Its more a of a supergroup kind of thing anyway.

Generally tool > APC, but 13th Step > 10,000 days so I'm happy with an APC release. (So long as it's nothing like emotive)

I dont compare Tool and APC. Tool is so far superior its not even close and I love 13th step one of my top albums. I just dont see how people can like APC and not like Tool. Especially after Emotive. AND, without Maynard APC is complete crap where as Tool would still be great as an instrumental band. Oh well I hope for a new album and not some crappy cover songs.

I find APC to be more commercial than Tool, and therefore more satisfying in a narrower sense.

yea.. there all doing diffrent projects Maynard said that they wont get back together for a whole album or tour again but they will release individual songs, Right now Pucifer and Ashes Divide are touring together so they still have some ties obviously guess we will just have to wait and see
