First time I've heard most of these songs, and its very enjoyable. "Cruel Bloom" is incredible.

I expect a lot of controversial reviews, as many love the album, but enough do not like it that much. Plus, great war between "This is the best Converge have ever released" vs "Jane Doe owns this one ten-fold"

I think it's at least a four for me. I'm just one of those jizzing fanboys, so the 5 will come down after a couple more listens.

considering i think jane doe is one of the most overrated albums on the site and i gave axe to fall a 4.5 shows how good it is.

I could never get into Jane Doe or anything by Converge but I heard a couple of tracks off this album and for some reason I dig 'em, especially Dark Horse.

I'm in the same boat as Hollier18, though it's not thaaat overrated. It seems -everyone- on this site has an opinion to say about Converge, yet I've never met anyone in the real world who's into them.

This album is sooooooooo good, I was hardly even a fan of these guys prior to the release of this album. I know now what I was missing, damn.

Axe > Jane.
But that Jane artwork gets a 5 automatically cause its too hard. Plus Jane managed to get 5s from people who dont even listen to heavy music.

The amount of people calling Jane Doe overrated is lol'able. Jane Doe is fantastic. If only I could understand ALL of the lyrics

I love Converge, but Axe to Fall is closer to a 4, and definitely not a 5. It was awesome at first, but it seemed to wear on me fast.

And Jane Doe is not overrated. If you can listen to that whole album and not think it's fucking brilliant, you are crazy.

Well it took me over a year before I really loved Jane Doe. I loved Axe to Fall immediately but it has worn off me slightly. Playing it 8 times in 5 days will do that though I suppose. Definitely second to Jane Doe however.
