Muse Refuse To Lip Sync

2009-09-25 by fromtheinside | 76 Comments
Muse preformed their new single Uprising on an Italian TV show recently and were told they had to lip sync the performance, so the band gave them what they wanted and faked the performance entirely. Lead singer and guitarist Matthew Bellamy decided to rock out on the drums while the real drummer Dominic Howard took on vocal duties, and bassist Christopher Wolstenholme shredded at the guitar and keyboard.

The video can be seen here:

This reminds me of the time Faith No More were on some European TRL-like show and the show insisted on them playing one of their huge, overplayed singles (Easy or Midlife Crisis I think) so they started off by playing it then switched gears and played a Beegees cover instead.

The TV show producers must be major douchebags and know nothing about music not to allow Muse to perform live. They really sound/look epic while performing live.

Bellamy's expressions are hilarious.
