I have high hopes for this. I hope they don't make the same mistakes they did last time like make every song sound the same. If they don't then I think this album will be pretty good.

The album art also looks pretty cool, too. This Message Edited On 07.13.06

I agree with Thor. They need to clean up the vocals a bit and this should be top notch.
That artwork is retarded, and having a song called "Anthem" kind of clues in on how the album will be.
Hey man what's wrong with them rebeling about all the trouble they have and how hxc and underground they are, oh wait it's Trivium...

Looking forward to this, although it has the potential to suck, particularly if Matt sings too much with his "Look at me Im James Hetfield" voice. Hopefully if thats the case, the solos will save ithe album.

I am a great fan of Trivium and to be honest, what is the point of all these Maiden/Metallica comparisons...

This album has the potential to be brilliant - all the members are very talented and Heafy does write great lyrics and some catchy riffs. Has anyone seen the live video of 'Detonation' on youtube? It is pretty sweet - the singing is reminiscent of Hetfield but to be honest it is only because Heafy is incapable of screaming now - everyone, stop crapping all over Trivium!

Oh well - fans are fans I guess.

Nine songs? Too little Trivium to get excited about. And it's done, so why release it on October 10?

The artwork is alright. The new Maiden cover absolutely spanks it though.

I love trivium but the dudes duking it out at the top of the cover seem kinda sketchy to me...would've looked sharper without them...and maybe some colour wouldn't be bad

That art is fake and was made by a fan and "The Crusade" will have around 12 tracks as well as a couple B-sides which will be released on the single, Anthem (We Are The Fire), Oct. 2nd. and as sweet as "Becoming the Dragon" is for a title lol, i dont think it made it or they called it something else. One of the other songs is titled "To The Rats." A seven string was used on two tracks and Paolo G (bass) even wrote some of the guitar parts. Today the song Detonation was released after a demo version was leaked about a month ago. If you haven't heard the new vocals yet don't jump to conclusions, they KICK ASS. and Matt isn't trying to be hetfield, there are plenty of reasons why they are doing this vocal change, but trust me its a change for the better.

You can listen to it here: http://www.roadrunnerrecords.co.uk/detonation/
