Wolfmother Album Details

2009-08-10 by Dave de Sylvia EMERITUS | 21 Comments
Aussie rockers Wolfmother will release Cosmic Egg on October 13.

The follow-up to 2006's Grammy-winning Wolfmother was recorded with the aid of a new rhythm section, consisting of bassist Ian Peres, guitarist Adrian Nemeth and drummer Dave Atkins. The previous rhythm section parted company with frontman Andrew Stockdale last year, citing "irreconcilable personal difficulties."

Cosmic Egg will be preceded by the single 'New Moon Rising' on August 14.

Tracklist:

1. California Queen
2. New Moon Rising
3. White Feather
4. Sundial
5. In The Morning
6. 10,000 Feet
7. Cosmic Egg
8. Far Away
9. Pilgrim
10. In The Castle
11. Phoenix
12. Violence Of The Sun

And finally, for no real reason at all, here's Mike Patton:

this is just going to suck so bad, Wolfmother has always been an atrocious band and it most certainly will stay that way. Also video and Splat's introduction for it are gold

I dunno, if the instruments were better, the songwriting and vocals were better, and the songs themselves were better, Wolfmother might actually be sort of good.

I got respect for Wolfmother. This will probably be cool. As for the video, well, I wasn't aware that Mike Patton was such a
drama queen.

Pilgrim is a fucking awesome track; saw the new line-up earlier this year and that was the first song they played.

I'm actually pretty excited about this, that new track I heard was heavier than anything off the first album, and Mike Patton just proved how much of a dick he is in that video. If your a profesional musician, there is no need to slag off other bands.

He was trying too hard to be disgusted with the power of rock emitting in the background.

The Mike Patton video will never get old. This cd will suck even though the self titled was kinda good.

Hopefully with a new line up change Wolfmother can produce something decent, their self titled was shit. And you're right Jacob, that video will never get old. xD

No mate, they've been around since 2005, 2000 if you count when they formed as a band.
