Not bad, I just listened to it once but I think this album will be excellent.

Sounds pretty sweet to me. Kinda bummed, because these guys were supposed to open for Clutch when they came around, but had to cancel at the last minute. It was for a family emergency, though, so can't really hold that against them. Anyway, Blue Record should be fantastic.

That was satisfyingly epic. I think this could be better than the Red Album. And that would be very good.

He sounds exactly like Mastodon's vocalist now... or vice versa...

Good song.

He sounds exactly like Mastodon's vocalist now... or vice versa...

He always did.

aside from the similar voice, I really don't see a very large similarity between these guys and mastodon.

Couple songs on Red Album made me think 'wow Mastodon' a lot.

Yeah, the vocalist is the one thing about this band that kept me from listening to them. It's too much, "I want to be Mastodon's singer."

pretty much baroness is the backup to mastodon. popularity and member wise.

They're both metal bands in the same vein from the same area of the same state so yeah...they'd likely come out similar.

I prefer Baroness over new Mastodon anyways.

i dont see the connection between them and mastodon... Baizley does way more work with harmony and i dont think his voice is as harsh. And the music... well mastodon is prog and baroness is practically groove metal. The only similarity i see is that they are both sludgy.

No Mastodon = No Baroness. Pretty simple concept to get through your head.

I prefer Baroness over new Mastodon anyways.

This is why I buy wallets from you.

ya even though I'd take Leviathan over red album any day, I still think red album is far better than their last 2 albums.

Hell this sounds like Leviathan-era Mastodon an it's AWESOME!New album will rule!!!

And if all songs are in the same vein Blue Record will probably be so much heavier than Red Album (as if it matters anyway...)
