So glad I stay up at ridiculous hours at times like this.
| |
sounds good.
| |
I love the crescendo around 2:15
| |
This sounds very Amnesiac-ish, which is a verrryyy good thing.
| |
Ehhh, boring.
| |
im noticing a more 'pretty' vibe to the new radiohead stuff (even though this doesnt look like album material) and i love it
| |
Yeah, that was actually pretty lame overall. It was epic in the beginning but then turned out to be total meh.
| |
Kinda pretty, kinda boring. Not bad considering it's impromptu and the time it took to make it.
| |
Pretty dull, but some bits are cool, props to them for doing that though, and so soon too.
| |
It was ok, this needs more sinking in. It will definitely not be on the new album, nice of them to pay tribute like this
| |
ruled. wasn't really radiohead though. it was thom and some orchestra. although one of them was probably jonny greenwood.
| |
stream...doesn't...work.
| |
use a stream downloader
| |
Nevermind. I got it working now.
| |
dunno if I like this. it just sort of... ended, which was pretty disappointing.
this was also on the front page of the bbc, for some reason.
| |
strings? strings!
| |
I love pretty much anything radiohead puts its name on, this being no exception.
that said, this is probably not a new direction for a band. It definitely sounds reminiscent of other b-sides and rarities they've done. Lovely though
| |
giraffes? giraffes!
| |
I cried.
| |
sucks
| |
Fantastic.
| |
Post Kid A Radiohead is generally boring IMO
| |
The orchestra was the best part of the song.
Overall, reminds me of Motion Picture Soundtrack, just without the long pauses. Song was kinda meh.
| |
That was nice, I will have to read the interview that Yorke was moved by.
| |
would not listen too again
| |
sounds too much like thrice
| |
Loving the song.
| |
if viva la vida were depressing - well, no, but there are strings
songs pretty cool i suppose.
| |
candlelight vigil at Thom's house tomorrow morning, everybody's invited
and afterwards we'll huddle around his television and watch animated WWI films
| |
strings were awesome, Thom was aimless and annoying
| |
Beautiful strings, the vocal performance is a little odd, but I think Thom wanted to sound muffled and distant like in "You and Whose Army?".
It's not going to be an album track or anything, it's just a nice one-off charity song. Nothing more to analyze other than the cause the song is for.
Oh wait, I forgot, this isn't Opeth.
THIS SUCKS.
| |
man maybe someday i'll understand whats so awesome about radiohead is...it just isn't clicking for me...
| |
you and me both, brick.
| |
they took me a while guys but they did click with me and i had to listen to OK comptuer several times before that happened but i dont see how they are influential since they dont have a definite sound
| |
songs cool
| |
cue the collective sputnik userbase all ejaculating at once.
| |
Maybe avoiding a definite sound is half of their influence, oathfbass. I imagine they probably influenced bands to introduce various experimental elements to their music.
| |
also: this is beautiful, an awesome tribute. And considering it's a tribute to someone who had recently died, I don't see how some of you would want it to be more "exciting"
| |
"

Listen to the bends, it'll definitley help you enjoy them more.
| |
i'll give it another spin
| |
Hi, Im Radiohead. I'm now a parody of myself. Nice to meet you, won't you buy my album for however much you feel it's worth? Thanks.
| |
kinda beautiful but in a kinda gay way
| |
aaron it wasnt that lame
| |
lets hope the whole album is like this ... a harry patch tribute ...
| |
i hope not
| |
gayyyyyyyy
| |
Listened to it a couple of times now. It was rather nice.
| |
