A changed All That Remains? 2006-06-29 by Josh D. | 6 Comments | Metalcore band All That Remains may not be particularly metalcore all the time. According to two new songs posted on their Myspace site, the band has taken a more aggressive approach, including blazing drums, fast chugging guitars, and some brutal death vocals (The Weak Willed features these vocals). Phil has gotten much better all around.
Look for the new album "The Fall Of Ideals" on Prosthetic Records out July 11. "This Darkened Heart" was a solid release, but this new stuff is more intense; it should be a good improvement.

I never did like metalcore..... or death metal vocals.... so I doubt I'd like this too much.

i love this darkened heart album but i also like heavier stuff like as i lay dying and parkway drive so judging on that, will i like their new stuff?

Well, I enjoyed the old All That Remains, but I'm diggin' their new stuff twice as much, and in my opinion, it is quite an improvement. 'This Calling' and 'The Weak Willed' have been in heavy rotation for me. I for one more than likely buy 'The Fall of Ideals' when it is released.
It is more of a metal-like change in sound and less of a post-hardcore sound, but, you should listen to it and be the final judge.
