My reputation precedes me.

You know, maybe somebody else should dibs reviewing Young Cardinals, because I don't think I could stomach writing my boys a negative review. This song was pretty bad.

agreed.

Chan's good at writing negative reviews (he relishes the thought of making them, as a matter of fact) so it should be all his in the (unlikely) event that this album munches cock.

Hopefully this is the worst on the album. I still have hope.

It's not looking good. They're taking the 'energetic'-route that they had going for them on Crisis, which is okay, except that George insists on sounding craptastic.

Sigh... I'm probably gonna end up reviewing this, and if this is the trend that the album will set, I've already got a really bad semi-mocking summary in mind... I REALLY want this to be good...

Sigh...

"Old Crows" is out there as well. This CD is sounding a lot different from anything they've done, not sure in a good or bad way... Considering I hated Young Cardinals when it came, but I can't stop listening to it now.

and their drummer is a beast. That one fill on Young Cardinals is good stuff.

If you guys want to hear samples of every track on this album, go here: http://www.jpc.de/jpcng/poprock/detail/-/art/Alexisonfire-Old-Crows-Young-Cardina/hnum/9187616

Judging by the samples, the album only gets better. Born And Raised FTW.

Ugh, those terrible clean vox really kill it. I kind of liked the chorus and the riff during the verses, but still George is destroying all the good parts.

It's great ("it" being the album). To be honest, I don't even know what song this is by title, so it's not one of the better ones. Old Crows is the best.

I think they just released the two worst songs off the album, because from the samples, all the rest sound great. At least, that's what I'm hoping!!! And can anyone clear this up for me: Is it in "Born and Raised" that Dallas does the sick solo at the end? Cause they posted a video of him doing it, and it sounds it from the sample, but I can't tell.

Dallas' solo is in Accept Crime, from what I've heard.

The song sounds like a bad b-side from Crisis, except George is no longer fun to listen to.

Has this leaked somewhere?

George's voice is 100% shot on the album btw. But it's still probably a 4.

He whips out that classic scream for a solid two seconds in this song though. He should (in theory) still be able to do that? Either way, I can't think about how I could rate this higher than a 3.5 if he does that the entire album.

Please, tone-deaf Dallas Green, save this record.

Vocals in this song are still awful. Somehow his vocals in Young Cardinals just don't bother me that much (actually they are kind of growing on me, but just in that song) and I don't know why.

This is pretty upsetting, George's new vocal style is terrible and is leading the band on a path to ruin. Crisis was considerably inferior to Watch Out! And this also sounds like it is going to be inferior to its predecessor.

I've come to really like the vocal work on young cardinals, so i agree with mark. i can see this one song being the worst one on the album...it just sounds so uninspired
i have faith that this album will be as good as the rest though. listening to watch out today got me psyched

This song is way better then young cardinals, that chorus was overdone by dallas so much i was tired of it by the end of the second listen. Screams still suck though
