Regarded by many to be one of the leading figures and pioneers of free jazz, Taylor often innovated as much as he did leave his audience breathless. His legacy is all but confirmed in the staying power of his music and to those that knew him. As the old guard of the long-gone jazz scene slowly leave us one by one, let us never forget what amazing music people like Cecil created. Rest in Peace, Cecil, and thank you for the music.
