Camp Cope announce album

2016-03-11 by BlushfulHippocrene EMERITUS | 10 Comments
Up-and-coming Melbourne band Camp Cope have announced their self-titled debut album to be released via Poison City Records. Upon announcing the album's release through the use of social media, frontwoman Georgia Maq further took the opportunity to explain her near-death experience as a child, and it's influence on the album's artwork.

"this photo is the cover of our album because despite what happened, happiness and resilience always prevails. this photo is a constant reminder to me that if i can live through that experience, i'm going to be ok."

You can preorder the album at http://poisoncityestore.com/ or listen to the band's newest single 'Jet Fuel Can't Melt Steel Beams' below:

Sweet. Saw 'em last week with Jeff Rosenstock. Excited for this album, and this tune is killer.

Yeah, hate the fact that I missed that. But I'm liking this single a lot more than their first, so I'm exited for this now. Plus it has a couple songs I've been wanting to see recorded for a while.

This band and gmaq are so good. New song is sick, and their album is gonna be just as good.

A track list was posted towards the bottom of this article, man. I'm going to assume it's correct, though I haven't seen it elsewhere. Stove Lighter appears towards the end. Heard all the songs apart from the first two, in some form or another, but I'm still excited.

lol definitely heard all these songs, live or otherwise, except for "done". google "georgia maq [song title]" or "camp cope [song title]" and you'll find them.

psyched anyway cuz many of them are my favourite g-maq songs and they deserve the full band / studio treatment. GLAD TO SEE ALL THIS HYPE ON SPUT FOR IT; YOU GUYS RULE

Yeah, just saw a Camp Cope performance from a while ago and now I've heard everything but 'Done'. And agreed, you guys all rule. Been out of the loop, so didn't expect anyone apart from maybe dimsim to comment on this one.
