Amia Venera Landscape post song

2014-08-20 by Trey STAFF | 38 Comments
Amia Venera Landscape have posted the first song from their next album. It is titled, "Weight Bearer".

Hello there,

almost four years passed since our latest release The Long Procession, and a lot of shit happened in the meanwhile: serious health issues for one of us, unreliable booking agents and other various problems caused a slowdown of the recording sessions. On the other hand, during this period we've chosen and arranged the music for our next four albums, which are already written and are going to be recorded in the next years.

This is the live-in-studio video of a new song that will be part of our upcoming album, that we're recording right now.

Check it out:

That was cool but almost the entire time I was listening I kept thinking is that A.V.L or Black Sheep Wall? The change in harsh vocals probably have something to do with that.

Hahahaha, that's a good thing

I'm getting a white Paul Reed Smith now, that thing looks so sexy and I'm now assured it can be very metal

"Our next four albums"

As exciting as that is and as talented as these guys are, I 'm hoping they spread the good stuff evenly and don't release an album of b-side songs. Also, I hope they keep writing stuff while they record those four albums, and aren't planning to quit after five full-lengths.

I really like how low in the mix the growls are here, I honestly felt a bit overwhelmed by his vocals on their last album. I think putting them behind the music rather than way out in front actually does a lot of good for this song. I'd be happy if this was the case for the rest of the album.

Expected a "post song", didn't get a post song. lel sorry

Didn't dig The Long Procession a lot, but some songs off it + this single make more than reason enough to make me check their new album.

Also 4 albums planned, holy shit you go guys!

Holy shit, that section of clean vocals with the growls underneath sounds amazing. Not so sure about the last 1/3 doesn't seem to fit with the rest of the song but it's growing on me.

Also nice Sovtek amp

This song is definitely less dynamic than anything on TLP (which isn't a bad thing). I wonder if the rest of the material will reflect this.

Good to know they have a lot of time on their hands to play around with their material until they're completely satisfied with it.

I hope they start having releasing their music on vinyl but just glad they finally premiered a new song.

Love it. Reminds me of Sunbather a bit. Hope all four albums don't sound exactly the same, but it wouldn't be terrible if they did so long as it sounds like this. love the jane doe shirt [2]
