do like, will get
|
| |
Hype train goes choo choo. Song is pretty awesome.
|
| |
Noice
|
| |
Im scared to listen to this
|
| |
Don't be scared, it's awesome.
|
| |
Fuck yes. This is tight.
|
| |
Goddamn! Spencer sounds a bit different. So looking forward to this album.
|
| |
He almost sounds like the guy from Norma Jean during some of the yells.
|
| |
sounds way way way way more robust. And there's double kicks (which we all found out about when the
drum track landed) and the cleans weren't half bad.
All in all that sounded just grand.
edit : @ FTI, is this a good, or a bad thing my friend.
|
| |
I'm probably going to hype the shit out of this album. I love that there's less clean vox. It makes it more of a treat when you hear it.
|
| |
Really loving this.
|
| |
Great song but the music is a bit boring...
|
| |
yes I agree. Overly aggressive styles like Norma Jean all over Underoath would get to be a bit much.
But the drumming, at least on this track is fucking superb
there is a gripe I have already, does the intro/lead sound slightly familiar to breathing in a new
mentality? maybe thats just me but it kinda hit me in the first couple of seconds then it fizzled
out
|
| |
Just as good as i was hoping, i cant wait to hear more.
|
| |
Underwhelming.
|
| |
Still stoked as balls. Underoath albums are always a big deal.
|
| |
no one will agree, but band blows
|
| |
OH GODDDDDD. This is where they all, threw me to the wallsssssss.
anyway, yes you're right. it feels like a slower version of this too. Fuck, haha =(
|
| |
OMG YESYESYESYES
|
| |
i like this a lot. will definitely get this.
|
| |
Pretty tight track. Definitely getting the album.
|
| |
sounds like the Bled with the cleans now
|
| |
I liked it...
but I didn't LOVE it. ambiguous, but hopeful.
|
| |
omg this is awesome
|
| |
sounding pretty good so far
|
| |
The first review for this album is going to have like 10,000 pages of comments.
|
| |
Iunno, could be a bad review.
|
| |
Fucking Bosssssss will be getting the album fosho
|
| |
"Iunno, could be a bad review."
yeah, true.
|
| |
But seriously, the flagged review will actually have 10 000 pages of comments.
|
| |
love it
|
| |
this is really awesome
|
| |
Fuck me. This is good
|
| |
i thought this said underoath post new song called 'illuvatar"
|
| |
oh and i enjoyed this
|
| |
u dum?
|
| |
New Vegas and a new Underoath album. this is going to be a good fall.
|
| |
Pretty decent.
|
| |
Really diggin this, but I do hear the similarities to previous songs... still super hyped
|
| |
This is fantastic
|
| |
i love spencer's new song. hell i love the band's somewhat different style. kick ass. im probably the 985807578378th person to say this but im pretty stoked
|
| |
COME ON MAN I KNOW YOU CAN DO THIS
|
| |
Pretty good honestly. It's nice not having to wait for Aaron to fag things up.
|
| |
Shits good.
|
| |
It's nice not having to wait for Aaron to fag things up.
Yeah, as we all know - homosexuality is a sin for Christians!
|
| |
This is good
|
| |
fuck yes. i'm now officially excited for the album
|
| |
That was fucking solid.
|
| |
all aboard the Hype Train! definitely has me psyched!
|
| |
It was okay. Hoping that the album as a whole is better, but still REALLY excited... I'm guessing this means the album will be fuckin heavy too.
|
| |
Oh. My. GAWSH!!! This is sick. Ugh I'm so glad I get to hear this record soon.
|
| |
I've got to be honest - I didn't get much out of this.
|
| |
Saaaame. It felt like a watered down song off of Lost in the Sound of Separation. Still, hoping for the best, amirite?
|
| |
I didn't like hardly any of the singles off of DTGL, but bought the CD and it was amazing, so thats how i'm viewing this, or its how i'm fooling myself...
|
| |
Again, saaaaame to this ^^
|
| |
@ Pinkblackberry....... im sure you don't care but it's "throw me to the wolves."
and yes when the instrumentals were posted I thought some of the guitar riffs sounded recycled. like had a lot of sounds from previous songs. but enjoyable nonetheless. and I thought the drumming was great. granted Aaron did sing while playing but he always dumbed his drumming down live.
|
| |
Doesn't sound very different from LitSoS, but still great. I liked Aaron's vocals but it will be a nice change to not hear them in this album.
|
| |
i love it, although that riff is basically the same as the one they used in 'breathing in a new
mentality'
|
| |
this was so boring
|
| |
yaaaay :D
gonna put up a dm album on sphincter
|
| |
i like it but its repititive
|
| |
heres some:
Ash Borer - Demo
Alda - Spring 09
Woods of Desolation - Sorh
wolves in the throne room - diadem of 12 stars
sun of the blind - skullreader
darkthrone - a blaze in the northern sky
forgotten tomb - springtime depression
graveland - Epilogue-In the Glare of Burning Churches
Hypomanie - Hypomanie EP
|
| |
I liked it.
|
| |
@ Pinkblackberry....... im sure you don't care but it's "throw me to the wolves."
ofcourse I care :D, thanks for pointing it out man. I assumed walls because..well fuck I duno sounded like it. haha, :D
|
| |
I thought it was walls too :/ I went back and re-listened and it's definitely wolves.
|
| |
Interesting....
Spencer's clean voice is nothing on aaron's though. I miss him.
Still, only one song so far. Here's hoping the new album has some more impressive material.
One the upside I could (sorta) hear the bass and the new drummer doesn't sound like a clone of Aaron.
|
| |
HOW DO I KNOW WHAT SIDE I'M ON part is fun.
pros: spencer's vocals, drumming
cons: guitars doing the exact same fucking thing they've done since DTGL
hope there's more experimentation on the album
|
| |
sounds too familiar so far....
|
| |
Spencers vocals get better and better over time. It's such a treat.
|
| |
THIS IS WHERE THEY GO TO HUNT ME DOWN
|
| |
they should post the drums of the next song now! :D
|
| |
They should post the whole fucking CD now.
|
| |
never been a fan, but this shit is sick
|
| |
Not bad.
|
| |
Amazing -.- I love this band even more now...
|
| |
Spencer's cleans on this might the best thing I've ever heard. Not even kidding. I don't even miss Aaron. So stoked.
|
| |
Holy fuck this is awesome. Spencer sounds so fucking good and this song is definitely heavy as fuck
|
| |
Aaron can go do whatever the fuck he wants, I no longer missed him when I heard this song.
|
| |
Yeah seriously. I was like "sad day" when I heard Aaron was leaving, now I could give two shits
|
| |
HOLY SHIT AARON'S LEAVING!! NO ORIGINAL MEMBERS!! BAWWW!!
Actually, this shit's good.
This shit's very good.
...
Fuck off Aaron.
|
| |
Yeah he's going to feel really silly when he fails at his next project and everyone falls in love with UnderØath
|
| |
That's what I was thinking.
Also, I've decided that this is good after listening to it about 7 or 8 times.
|
| |
Yeah. It took me about 2.8 seconds, but I finally decided this rules
|
| |
oh yeah the screams definitely get better with each album, and this is way better than just okay
|
| |
another underoath news awesome
|
| |
those sure got a nice fan base on here
|
| |
I repeat:
OMG YESYESYES
|
| |
SO TASTY!!!
|
| |
mmmm... Underoath
|
| |
Ummmmmmm....this is fucking fantastic. not boring at all
Btw Aaron leaving will be the best thing to ever happen to this band
|
| |
"Btw Aaron leaving will be the best thing to ever happen to this band"
I don't know, I sure don't miss his vocals, but go listen to his drumming again, it was fucking fantastic.
|
| |
"does the intro/lead sound slightly familiar to breathing in a new
mentality?"
definitely.
"pros: spencer's vocals, drumming
cons: guitars doing the exact same fucking thing they've done since DTGL"
and also this.
yeah this was great and all, but I'm not sure I understand why everyone's fapping over it.
|
| |
agreed. i thought 'desperate times desperate measures' was kinda meh at the time it came out as the first new song of LITSOS
|
| |
terrible band
|
| |
And the Chiodos hype train flies off the rails due to a massive rear-ending from Underoath... There were no survivors.
|
| |
Only the beginning. I bet you this is the worst song on the album.
|
| |
I can dig it.
|
| |
I'm still stoked for the record, but that just sounded like a heavier song from Lost In the Sound
|
| |
not bad
|
| |
I think I'm the only person who is absolutely bored to tears by this band.
|
| |
really josh?! thought these guys would be right up your alley
|
| |
Song definitely sounds cool. Spencer's a freaking stud and I don't miss Aaron one. single. bit. I say this on every UO thread ever but he was really starting to annoy me on LITSOS. I agree with everybody who liked this but didn't LOVE it, though.
Still, buying this on the opening day for suuuuuuure.
|
| |
I'm not gonna lie, I DO love this song.
|
| |
I can't believe how much better they got!
|
| |
The new cleans are so much better. Theres an edge to them now.
|
| |
Not missing aaron. Just wish they woulda gotten more wanky with their guitars. Recycling riffs isn't something UO should do.
|
| |
Yeah I wish they would return to some of the technicality of DTGR. Some of the riffs in that album blow my mind.
|
| |
Well. Lets face it, this is Song 1 out of what..12? one track can't tell you the entire album. It's just scary we're all tentative and we want to see these guys have a crazy album.
and the riffs in this song are all pretty solid. Just the intro seemed a little recycled. So playing the switzerland card, lets just sit back and hope shall we?
|
| |
@ pinkblackberry : it's all because "throw me to the wolves" is just more fucking br00tal than walls.
Spencer did cleans on other albums as well. So when I went and saw UO and Aaron fucking sucked ass on drums... I knew they would lose nothing over his departure.
|
| |
last minute is epic, but the intro sounds EXACTLY like breathing in a.... which is a piss off. I want NEW sick riffs underoath not the same bullshit recycled ones from LITSOS.
on a side note, spencer sounds tits, and I never liked aaron. i never really listen to the cleans happily from underoath. like aaron is good in his other band the almost, but with spencer, aarons cleans just piss me off.
so im glad spencer is totally doing the vocals now cause this is wayyyy sicker.
|
| |
I'm loving this song and I can't wait to hear the full album.
|
| |
I don't like Spencer's cleans at all. Song still kicked major ass though.
|
| |
Haha, if you can even call them cleans; I like how they still have a little sizzle in them.
|
| |
sizzle
|
| |
sounds like they are on the verge of something grand
|
| |
bloc, I miss your avatar of those twin guys from tin tin
|
| |
lol^
|
| |
Haha, now my avatar is actually Tinin!
|
| |
DTGL is there best. What an incredible album.
|
| |
lol
|
| |
they sound so similar to the bled now (or at least this song does) which is not a bad thing
|
| |
and the riffs in this song are all pretty solid. Just the intro seemed a little recycled
wrong. they played the same riff the entire song
|
| |
"Haha, if you can even call them cleans; I like how they still have a little sizzle in them."
Sizzle.
|
| |
sizzle
|
| |
I'm thinking this will be the first song on the album, it's kinda like the In Regards or the New Mentality of the disc.
|
| |
"sizzle"
sizzle
|
| |
well yay for them continuing to be good?
|
| |
... track list was released. Not first song.
|
| |
I stared at the optical thingy for the duration of the song and now I have terror-vision! Sweet!
|
| |
spencers cleans are actually really cool but yeah...the song is...somewhat repetitive
|
| |
Don't sell me the sizzle, sell me the steak.
|
| |
Iamthe Nig likes this.
|
| |
I didn't really enjoy this song tbh, I'm disappointed.
|
| |
Gonna do my best to not listen to anything till it comes out
|
| |
Haha, if you can even call them cleans; I like how they still have a little sizzle in them.
Seriously, they sound just like some of the "cleans" from Norma Jean's newest.
|
| |
Just listened to it again and am discovering this band, they're really good shit
|
| |
"And the Chiodos hype train flies off the rails due to a massive rear-ending from Underoath... There were no survivors"
What are you talking about man? The only survivor was miraculously unharmed...
Song is awesome, but it certainly can't be called much of a progression from the previous two albums. Not necessarily a bad thing, but still...
Hope to see a bit of experimentation on the rest of the album. Sort of like how the last 2 songs on LITSOS were a welcome surprise.
|
| |
song is fantastic
|
| |
your mom was fantastic BAM
|
| |
first comment!
hope it's better than LITSOS. song is pretty good.
|
| |
I hope it's better than LITSOS too...
EVEN THOUGH LITSOS RULED D:
|
| |
Seriously, they sound just like some of the "cleans" from Norma Jean's newest.
Never listened to that band
|
| |
Listened to this song about 15 times
|
| |
I gave in and listened. . and I love it. Who cares if the instruments sound similar, I don't listen to UO for instrument wank, I listen for good songs and Spencer's Vocals.
|
| |
spencers vocals in this sound intense as fuck
|
| |
I hope this song is the shitty song of the album
|
| |
Maybe I'm wasted/high off of heroin. But I really don't see anything wrong other than the intro riff being a tad on the recycled side. hmm..
|
| |
but have you SEEN their studio updates? They make this sound like the most EPIC record ever and they can't even come up with original riffs??? (at least for this song).
idk. im disappointed
|
| |
I can tell this album will get lots of underserved shit and praise at the same time, that's how Sputnikmusic rolls.
|
| |
dude... that's how MUSIC rolls lol.
|
| |
I must admit they suffered no loss to their sound with the departure of aaron
|
| |
Yo soy muy PSYCHED!
|
| |
Saw them play this song live, it seemed pretty good. Stoked to give this a listen.
|
| |
This sounds really good. And, unlike some of underoath's previous material, its not (as) predictable. The drumming reminded me of Norma Jean, in a good way.
|
| |
HAWKBLADE
|
| |
who owns the beard? ^
|
| |
sounds good
|
| |
I want Isis influenced guitar work or Ima be upset
|
| |
this is great
|
| |
"who owns the beard? ^"
Dostoevsky
|
| |
I want more isis influenced guitar
break down a breakdown.
now with sweeps
|
| |
sorry for the late reply cause I was banned, nut the cleans in this rule.
|
| |
