BBC Predicts 'Sound of 2010'

2009-12-31 by NovaSilver | 26 Comments
The BBC has released the long list for its annual 'Sound of' list, which takes the opinions of 165 UK tastemakers as to who will be the stars of the coming year in British music. The long list consists of 15 bands which will be narrowed down to 5 and an overall winner in January.

The 'Sound of' lists tend to be eerily accurate, the Sound of 2009 list last year featuring Lady GaGa, La Roux and Florence and the Machine.

Can totally see Marina and the Diamonds getting bigger, they're pretty cool.
Saw Everything Everything in the tiniest venue, didn't really like their music, but they were so tight.

Heard of most of these, Owl City's the only one I've heard stuff of and it sucks

The Drums are meant to be good, though

This. Ugh, she annoys me so much. Most of 'her' discoveries are actually made by her husband who works in he industry.

the drums sound pretty good, and tbh a lot of them probably are but wont them getting big be in large part due to BBC saying they will be?

Two door cinema club are pretty awesome, i went to school with those guys. They've come such a long way in such a short space of time. Check em out! Its good catchy electro pop.

so when does owl city get sued for sounding exactly like the postal service? i honestly thought that's who it was when i heard that song. and then was incredibly annoyed when it was someone pretending to be the postal service.
