Quality was very meh, but from what I gathered it sounded great.

It sounds exactly like I thought it would, and that's GOOD. Drumming was awesome.

They're talented and boring.

I really hope they expand their sound a bit.

It's a 3.5, but it was a 4 then. It's just far too repetitive, and this really doesn't sound that much different from Messengers (save for a brief bluesy solo).

I thought it was swell, don't take my opinion though because I am a ABR fanboy. This Message Edited On 04.23.09

Dang I was so close to driving up the DE to see this show. Jake has a massive voice and Matt's drumming is ridiculous as usual. Leads were rather impressive as well. ABR is a bit of a one trick pony these days but it's still one hell of a trick.

messengers is not boring. its a damn epic adventure. listening to that album from start to finish is just a story being told, and the reader happens to consistently use the voice of mind shattering breakdowns and relentless brutality.

sick new song. agreed though, would like to hear a new voice come in

Sounds like they have a bit more cohesion in their songwriting this time, but it's really hard to gauge how good the song/album will be based off this live recording.

Hopefully it'll be less repetitive than messengers

Quality isn't great, but this sounds promising. I hope with this new album they don't abuse the breakdowns and chugchugs like they did with Messengers. Messengers showed a huge improvement in a lot of ways for the band, but it wasn't as good as Thrill Seeker in the sense that it didn't have quite as individual a sound because all of the songs sounded kind of the same due to the chugchug. If the rest of the album is in the vein of this song, this new album will be fucking insane. Also, ToWhatEnd has a great point, he's very much right.
