Zeppelin released six consecutive great albums. Cream released four total, if memory serves, and two or three were great. Clapton is/was better than Page, but that's all I'll give him.

And even then Clapton is so overrated.

it's good to see for a bit of fun. I do like some Led Zeppelin (I only have the remasters Double album). And whilst its over the top, Led Zeppelin do have a 'holier than thou' status about them. Robert Plant is a dick too.

Having said that, im still gonna rock out to their classic songs.

I think theyre both overrated, even though I dig em both. Zeppelin started to decline, while Cream broke up before they had a chance to suck.

And for the record Clapton has Page's number any day of the week. Shouldnt even be an argument. Shiiiiit, Iommi has Page's number too.

I agree, but in all fairness Cream's reunited live album from a few years ago was still damn good.

I like Page's guitar playing more than Clapton's, though I'm unable to say which one is actually BETTER. both of them did stuff the other couldn't have done, so let's call it a draw.

Hmmm, interesting article. I love Cream, and Bruce is my favorite member. I do think Led Zeppelin is overrated, but still good. Page is perhaps the most overrated element, anything after their first two albums is just drunken sloppiness.

Maybe if they released a live DVD of the O2 concert, then people can finally gauge their abilities. But until then, Cream has their reunion DVD, Zep doesn't. Hell, Zep had their gig taken off the Live Aid when it came out on DVD because it was 'embarrassing.'

Yeah Bruce was kinda prickish, but he seemed to be facetious as well. He had many valid arguments though.
