smells like monster and vape juice

why’d my ex only do anal?
cus she was trying to save the cat!
this is cool news though, kinda miss this sound
|
| |
not gonna jam any singles before the album but im weirdly hyped. these guys were my world around 2009-2012
|
| |
Kinda sucks that they released most songs from the album already
|
| |
my first gf tried so hard to get me to like this band, thinking back it was probably the least worst music she pushed on me
|
| |
One time I sneezed so hard I blacked out and woke up with a new tattoo of a toaster. Still not sure if it’s symbolic or just cursed. Anyway, cool stuff!
|
| |
Bit anticlimactic to be releasing an album that’s mostly made up of stray singles over the last few years.
There’s gonna be like, what, six new songs?
|
| |
could just be obliging record label contracts. some artists in the digital era are becoming disillusioned with the idea of making and releasing a full album for the sake of making and releasing a full album and are more interested in releasing songs or EPs more frequently
|
| |
Yeah now you mention it, I remember Rob mentioning in a Reddit AMA years ago that they were contracted to do another album. I also recall an interview where he said he doesn't really enjoy making albums, so I'm guessing it's the label thing more than anything else
|
| |
Still pretty exciting though imo, so I'm not complaining!
|
| |
i never jammed any of the pre release songs which worked out i guess lol
|
| |
Song sounds so dated, and the meow sample just makes it even more so.
These guys need to evolve ffs
|
| |
"evolve" into what? the absolute fucking travesty that has been popular electronic music for the past 12 years?
they tried that with 2013+ knife party and thankfully have learned to walk it back to stuff that sounds good
|
| |
"evolve" into what? [2]
I'm glad they're going back to their core sound. Rob's screams were so unexpected I had to double check to see if they had a guest vocalist on this track

"I also recall an interview where he said he doesn't really enjoy making albums, so I'm guessing it's the label thing more than anything else"
That actually makes a lot of sense, as the plan appears to have been to drip feed singles/EPs over half a decade until you have enough to make an album.
