What’s the reason for Fantano hate? I think his reviews, even the ones I vehemently disagree with, are usually in good faith and bring up some actual good points of contention.

I’ll also admit they as far as I know I align with his politics pretty closely so maybe that’s me turning a blind eye to anything shitty that he’s done but even then… idk he seems like a solid guy.

Also I don’t follow every little thing about the man so if there’s some serious shit I’m missing I’m more than happy to be proven wrong.

I dont know about now cause I dont watch him but back in like the 2013-2017 era he was well known for his absolutely shitty takes on music and for having thin skin. It was very easy to hate him. He and ToddInTheShadows were major players of the music criticism sphere in the mid-2010's. Though I would argue Todd was far worse in terms of dumb takes, Fantano had a lot more reach.

I stop watching Todd a while ago. I still like Fantano ever now and then, Will say not crazy for his politics but I enjoy his reviews from time to time.
