Just finished Fire.
I thought it was pretty fucking good, tbqh. Though, that might be biased from sheer excitement after hyping myself up for this release.

No Jom thy art not alone! Well, sort of. I think their really, really good, but not amazingly fantastic zomg-revolution-in-musical-bliss as people make them out to be.I also find it hard to differenciate b/t albums... but thats more because i haven't listened to them a whole ton.

Not gonna lie, Fire was pretty good, but I was expecting a lot better. Firebreather, The Messenger, and The Flame Deluge were the best songs by far. The others were just sorta unremarkable.

Fire will be an absolute grower. I could not really stand Firebreather the first two or three times I listened to it, but now I really like it.
Water is really great so far, a real Ying-Yang like record. I like it

Nope, every pre-Vheissu Thrice fan I've met (me included) found it to be a letdown of varying degrees.
If you are talking about Vheissu, I was a fan of Thrice since Illusion and Vheissu is by far my favorite album by them, Artist being their worst (but still not that bad)
Every Thrice fan I know who knew them pre-Vheissu liked Vheissu better so maybe the people you know just have awful taste

Well I was just saying that plenty of other people feel the same way as him. There's no need to be so defensive, it's just an album. I'm not being defensive I'm just saying the only people I know who thought of Vheissu as a letdown were annoying Illusion or Artist hanger-ons who just wanted more pop-punk out of them

I had goosebumps througout the whole water album. And The Fire Deluge was simply amazing. I cannot wait for this to arrive in my mailbox. Did anyone else do the pre-order special?

Although I rather liked both parts, for some reason, I can't help but label all of Water "pretty."

I like it. It's not a life-changing album, but it's got plenty of positives. My favorite tracks so far are Firebreather, The Messanger, The Flame Deluge, Digital Sea, and Night Diving.
