night verses... from the top rope!

Woo glad to see Aric finally left that mega-cringe shit-act Fever 333
|
| |
Kinda meh. Their first EP is the real shit.
|
| |
First album is the real shit
|
| |
This song hits. Don't know what you're talking about bub.
|
| |
I'm just so pumped they're finally releasing new stuff I'm a huge fanboy
But yeah I'm not entirely convinced about this one, it feels like it's lacking a bit of identity. But hey, it's a single, might make more sense in the context of the whole album. Anyways, really enjoyed it!
|
| |
ruled! Band has been a tour de force since becoming instrumental.
|
| |
Woo glad to see Aric finally left that mega-cringe shit-act Fever 333 [2]
Super stoked for new material and this solidified
|
| |
Insane how a three piece band can sound this dynamic and full. Can't wait for the album!
|
| |
oooo, this is exciting news
|
| |
They were a tour de force, before they went instrumental in my opinion. This new track is incredible, and surprisingly short for what fans are used to, and I'm all for it.
|
| |
This song is good but definitely agree that what they were doing with Doug was more interesting. There are a lot of prog metal instrumental bands that scratch this same itch.
The prog elements being present in a post-hardcore setting was much more memorable to me. Because the execution was really great!
|
| |
i really don't see any other instrumental bands doing what they do quite frankly. hard disagree.
|
| |
i wish every postprogwhatevercore band sounded like this
|
| |
Yeah no one sounds like Depirro
|
| |
Band sounds like nothing else, song is gr8
|
| |
new album rumored to be released by 2047
|
| |
band choked away all relevance when they got rid of their singer. shred all u want shredbois its all over now
|
| |
Band is way better now than they were with a singer, agreed.
|
| |
let me be clearer: this band is a shell of themselves without a singer and these songs barely even have a purpose now. i like some good instrumental shit but their potential with doug robinson was through the roof and now they'll only ever be Animals As Leaders But Less Relevant
|
| |
"new album rumored to be released by 2047"
ah so just before there will be fireworks
|
| |
"now they'll only ever be Animals As Leaders But Less Relevant"
AAL wishes they sounded this good in 2023
|
| |
trying to offer some balance: loved them with Douglas and missed him at times on Gallery of Sleep but I still spin all their stuff equally. If he had been on GoS but with a lessened presence, something like a bunch of features, that'd be an all timer
|
| |
Their last album was probably one of my favorite instrumental rock releases since it came out. Definitely excited to hear a new album by them. Maybe I just live in a nerd bubble but I felt their instrumental release was their most popular so I don't quiet understand the claim of them being more irrelevant now.
|
| |
i revisited lift your existence the other day and it holds up very well
|
| |
I only heard of these guys in the beginning of the year and the glow-up after they became instrumental again was insane. Super excited for this.
|
| |
Great stuff. Will jam their discog asap
|
| |
"let me be clearer: this band is a shell of themselves without a singer and these songs barely even have a purpose now. i like some good instrumental shit but their potential with doug robinson was through the roof and now they'll only ever be Animals As Leaders But Less Relevant"
This is such a garbage take
|
| |
As much as I can appreciate Tosin Abasi's talent, this band is way more enjoyable than Animals as Leaders
|
| |
Animals is so one-dimensional in reality too. The whole focus really is Tosin and really doesn't allow for the rest of the group to shine. This band however, everyone gets their moments and quite a lot as well. On top of that, I really can't think of an instrumental group that sounds remotely close to the sound Night Verses is pushing.
|
| |
"The whole focus really is Tosin and really doesn't allow for the rest of the group to shine."
matt garstka is the most jerked off drummer of the last decade what
|
| |
Still miss their singer but this riffs and Aric is still the goat
|
| |
Fucking FINALLY hell yeah
|
| |
Good song, looking forward to the new record. These guys are sick
|
| |
I honestly had no idea they released two instrumental albums after their debut.
|
| |
^ they didn’t. ItVL has vocals too. Only Gallery is instrumental
|
| |
My mistake thank you.
|
| |
These guys are amazing and put on on hell of a show live!
Ready for the new record.
|
| |
I agree that this band has some unique elements, but I find myself listening to other instrumental djent/prog bands way more. I also found the abundance of spoken word samples on their previously album really lame
Best postprogwhatevercore of the last decade though is still Everything That is You by Thrailkill
|
| |
Loved the samples on their last album, I hope they bring them back.
|
| |
single artwork looks so familiar
|
| |
"This is such a garbage take"
God forbid someone has an opinion! LOL
|
| |
opinions are fine but that one in particular is straight garbage
|
| |
Very stoked for this album. As far as instrumental bands go, these guys are legit
Also, can sput be kind for once and not be complete assholes? I know it's a hard ask
|
| |
Gallery of shit > whatever this is
Jk I have gallery 4/4.5’d probably
Albums with vocals > errythang else
|
| |
"God forbid someone has an opinion! LOL"
except he made his last part of the post as a statement of fact dumbass.
|
| |
"matt garstka is the most jerked off drummer of the last decade what"
Yeah, I've heard but he's still never the main focal point of AAL.
|
| |
Just watched the guitar playthru of this and hot diggity that quick harmonic arpeggio at like 45 sec is super cool
|
| |
