New Cattle Decapitation LP, May 12th 2023-01-11 by Fernando Alves | 18 Comments | US California deathgrind crew Cattle Decapitation will release their tenth studio album, Terrasite, on May 12th via Metal Blade Records. The band's follow-up to 2019's Death Atlas was again produced by Dave Otero (Allegaeon, Khemmis, Archspire) with artwork by longtime collaborator Wes Benscoter (Vader, Kreator, Bloodbath, Hypocrisy).
Vocalist Travis Ryan, comments: "We've all heard the old saying about how the cockroach is so pervasive... so invasive... so insidious... that they could survive a nuclear war... Our previous album, Death Atlas, left the world blackened and lifeless.. or so we thought. It turns out that the carbon-encrusted bodies that adorned the album's layout and music video (and that resemble the victims of Pompeii that were frozen in time by the Mt. Vesuvius disaster of 79 A.D.) were actually more of a cocoon stage for something much more vicious to come: Humanity 2.0."
Tracklist:
1. Terrasitic Adaptation
2. We Eat Our Young
3. Scourge Of The Offspring
4. The Insignificants
5. The Storm Upstairs
6. …And The World Will Go On Without You
7. A Photic Doom
8. Dead End Residents
9. Solastalgia
10. Just Another Body

Rad artwork, title, description, and tracklist. STOKED
| | | I was honestly worried after Death Atlas that I'd never get to hear another Cattle Decap record, not because they were slowing down or anything. Just thought I'd be dead by that point after 2020.
| | | So excited to hear this!!!
| | | their best artwork yet, wow
| | | the album artwork looks like a Bugs Life R rated movie
| | | Fuck yeah. Death Atlas was pretty good but here's hoping this is even better after a pretty terrible few years for humanity.
| | | Terra Formars
| | | Lol fear.
Yay, stoked for this. Can we have a single please?
| | | pog letsgoooo
| | | Pretty weird look that according to Ryan they got a bunch of their fans to successfully dox the kid who leaked their artwork. Nice precedent to set.
| | | Death Atlas made a good first impression, but I found that outside of 2 or 3 songs it didn't have a lot of longevity for me. But I also get ear fatigue pretty quickly when it comes to brutal death so maybe it's more of a me problem.
| | | art goes hard - this is gonna rock
| | | dis gon b gud
| | | the art and concept is goofy af i love it

Doxxing means publicly posting someone's private/identifying info, which they did not do, dunno why people are saying this. All they revealed was that it was a Russian kid afaik
| | | Multiple people now seem to know who this kid is and where they're from and they celebrated what their fans did publicly. Don't really care for the pussy semantics dancing, at best this is still encouraging targeted harassment.
| | | HUMAN-ANIMAL HYBRIDS
| | | Really looking forward to this m/
