Wolfheart announce King of the North 2022-07-20 by Fernando Alves | 3 Comments | Finnish melodic death metallers Wolfheart have announced that their sixth studio album, King of the North, will be released September 16th via Napalm Records. The music video for the first single, 'Ancestor', featuring Jesse Leach of Killswitch Engage, can be seen below.

Tuomas Saukkonen about the new single: "Finnish mythology is full of nordic gods, tales and beliefs, but there is only one king of the forest. And because of that, a song about this feared and honored beast is an ideal first single. Musically diverse from blast beats to majestic chorus with legendary Jesse Leach, bringing the song onto a whole new level and lyrically diving deep into the album's theme."

Huh, Jesse fits really well here. I like Tuomas well enough but his vocals are quite limited, having another voice in the mix adds a lot.
