in over a decade?
| |
Yeah...
| |
Final Transmission is now an EP hehe
| |
Awesome
| |
First *studio record in over a decade. Pumped for this!
| |
White Silence was my intro to these guys and I really enjoyed it. This should be cool.
| |
didn't think they'd keep going without caleb
| |
song rips, not super into the cleans but overall a rad song
| |
Stoked that Nate is filling in
| |
bit too safe for a cave in track but still pumped for a new album
| |
Yeah sounds like something from Perfect Pitch Black. Heavy but ultimately pretty safe.
| |
"Final Transmission is now an EP hehe"
oh damn I wasn't aware of this, anyways this is great news
| |
Song rips, so excited
| |
Definitely a safe track from them but I'm still beyond happy to see them continue to make music. Honestly, for a safe track it's still pretty good too.
| |
Sounds like a heavier PPB jam, but with Nate's thunderous bass and Ballou's meaty production this really rips. Great opener for sure, but if you want the more adventurous Cave In check out their recent hate5six video, they play "Blinded By A Blaze" live and it's 9+ minutes of sludgy progressive goodness
| |
Solid song. Excited for the album.
| |
I havent even listened yet and I am so excited about this
| |
Song is really thick sounding too. Kurt was a great choice for this band.
| |
Production is indisputable agreed
| |
Definitely fair to say this is a safe Cave In track, but I really dig it nonetheless. Stoked for the album
| |
I must not have seen Nate Newton in awhile. I didn't recognize that dude on the bass haha
| |
idk why the first part reminded me of High On Fire, and the production is just e l i t e
| |
Sounds amazing.
I feel so stupid for saying they were done after Final Transmission in my Blood Moon review :/
| |
Lol have you changed it? I’m pretty sure they’d announced that they were continuing with Nate quite awhile before that
| |
Nah left it there for my own embarrassment. I based some parts of the review on that (wrong) fact so it would need heavy editing. I think I mistook "Final Transmission" as their way of saying "this is our last album" when in reality it was meant to be Caleb's final transmission, or at least that's what I understand now.
I could be wrong again though lol
And yeah i obviously missed the news about Nate.
| |
Niiiice. Very excited for new album.
| |
They announced Nate would be taking over for Caleb before Final Transmission even released so you're actually three years behind lol. Always hyped for more Cave In and track was a banger
| |
"song rips, not super into the cleans but overall a rad song"
I mean these cleans have sounded the same for years out of Stephen so it's weird to note that unless this is a first time listen.
| |
Brodsky has the voice of an angel
| |
Agreed
| |
god yes this fucks hard
| |
There's a fair bit of Mutoid Man DNA in this track, imo
| |
Song kicks ass

Though you could argue that Perfect Pitch Black had a lot of those characteristics way before Mutoid Man

"Though you could argue that Perfect Pitch Black had a lot of those characteristics way before Mutoid Man"
I suppose it's more Brodsky being himself than anything, he's really dialed in his own unique tones and style at this point to where I know it's him immediately
| |
Fair point.
| |
this is so dope, video was great.
| |
RIP Caleb
| |
nice, it b slapping
