Was about to send you this link. No need apparently. You’re on fire.
|
| |
Great track
|
| |
Insomnium, sit the fuck down and prepare to get educated
|
| |
love these dudes cannot wait for a record
|
| |
Hype
|
| |
This band will go down as one of the best melodeath bands of all time.
|
| |
Their music always seems so weird to me, that piano part with the off beat drums sounds like they just mashed a lot of stuff together in a DAW and just recorded it. Sometimes it works, but it sounds quite off here. Maybe it needs to grow
|
| |
wasn't blown away by this on first listen. will give it time.
|
| |
Solid
|
| |
never been able to get into these guys and this isn't doing it either :/ always feels like they are missing something
|
| |
it is not them, it is you, love
|
| |
Thank you, Pikazilla. Very cool!
|
| |
Solid, indeed. Far from their best though.
|
| |
Song is very Be’lakor, and quality. Welcome back boys
|
| |
sounds amazing as usual. this band simply can't goes wrong, these guys were born to play melodic death metal.
|
| |
best in the biz now that Insomnium is a ballad band
|
| |
Just got into these guys recently. Everything has been solid so far including this. Nicee
|
| |
This is my bag, baby.
|
| |
Hopefully the rest is better than this, hasn't tickled my pickle
|
| |
Slaps. These guys don't miss.
|
| |
pretty disappointed by this'
they just unveil the window just like that? Like it doesn't mean anything? They spend all this time, especially the extra time they had through the last year to build this window, and can't even help themselves to keep it hidden any longer? Is it really that immense and superbly imminent that it couldn't be discovered by natural curiosity?
Anyway the song is great. Duh
|
| |
some advice from a former cringey kid
don't try so hard
|
| |
good band
|
| |
Loving this. Been a few years since I spun any Melo-death But this is a timely reminder how good some melo-death can be. Based on this track Looking forward to the album.
|
| |
"best in the biz now that Insomnium is a ballad band"
I lol'd this is so true
Song slays
|
| |
very dark tranquility-esque
|
| |
A welcome return.
|
| |
Owns
|
| |
"best in the biz now that Insomnium is a ballad band"
I hate that I agree with this haha.
|
| |
Yeah this is amazing damn.
"sounds amazing as usual. this band simply can't goes wrong, these guys were born to play melodic death metal."
They really are the pinnacle these days.
|
| |
I mean it's not like Winter's Gate was THAT long ago. That was at least on par with anything these guys have done, probably better
|
| |
Debatable, but yes Winter’s Great.
|
| |
>best in the biz now that Insomnium is a ballad band<
Had to laugh too. Still no. 2 after Be’lakor. Then Omnium Gatherum
|
| |
insomnium have never been as good as be'lakor
|
| |
Agreed
|
| |
Glad they are back, probably one of the best in death metal around when they come out of hibernation and do stuff.
Rivers of Nihil - if your record sounds mostly like the 2nd single and yiu have to compete with this...just pack up and go home
|
| |
I think Insomnium has a few moments that stand above anything Be'lakor has done, but these guys are WAY more consistently strong, and overall the better band imo.
|
| |
insomnium have never been as good as be'lakor
umm yes they have, check Winter's Gate
Overall I do agree Durrzo, except for the first 3 albums and WG, Insomnium has been really hit or miss
|
| |
Winter's gate is great
Their debut is also pretty good
Everything else is negligible
|
| |
Since the Day and Above were great albums imo as well, not on Be'lakor's level though as a whole. Too much talk about Insomnium in this thread anyway.
|
| |
Indeed, but that's what we do.
Also I like to see pika being enthusiastic about something I also like.
And it doesn't seem to be irony.
|
| |
Been listening to this non-stop
What a track
|
| |
The song is closer to Stone's Reach than Vessels. I was expecting something more progressive but probably this time the lads will drop something more straightforward. That's fine by me.
|
| |
100% Notrap. I also get stone's reach vibes more so than vessels and OBAB
|
| |
Whips an astonishing amount of ass
|
| |
Great track definitely back to an older sound with a crisper production though. Looking forward to the full record.
|
| |
Song slaps hard, though there's some cool little drum details that are a bit low in the mix that I wish were more prominent since you can only hear them when blasting the track–which you should be doing anyways
|
| |
I can't stop listening to this. They're so fucking good at what they do it's kinda absurd. Eight and a half minutes and not one second of filler.
|
| |
"I think Insomnium has a few moments that stand above anything Be'lakor has done, but these guys are WAY more consistently strong, and overall the better band imo."
I agree with this completely.
|
| |
Love it. Anyone else get Dark Tranquillity vibes from the guitars in the back half of the track?
|
| |
After repeated listens, it's safe to say THE BOIS ARE BACK, HYPE CITY
|
| |
The consistency on theeeese boiiis, really good song, loved it at first listen. That kinda Opeth intro got me so easily and the drums are so fun for a melodeath track, guitars are pretty familiar similar to DT in some parts.
|
| |
Absolutely love this. So glad I discovered these folks this year. Can't wait for the album!
|
| |
Kind of digging how straight-forwards this is
|
| |
Can't get all that into this one m'fraid
|
| |
New single tomorrow
|
| |
This will probably be my aoty, so I'm going to try my best not to spoil any more for myself. Try is the key word, idk if I can resist for a whole month.
|
| |
oh nice, its my birthday tomorrow too :3
|
| |
Yeah I can definitely get into this one and I want more.
|
| |
well egy you don't have to wait, Foothold is out
|
| |
I'm a little bit disappointed with the new single :/
|
| |
It seemed quite middling after one listen, true.
|
| |
Hidden Window sounds just like the newer Dark Tranquillity sound, carbon copy.
Same producer or what?
Still enjoyable but that main riff is almost stolen from one song of DT.
|
| |
@Moses77
Yup, Jens Bogren worked on the last three DT records too.
