I really enjoyed the vibe but the song didn’t wow me. It will probably fit well in the context of the album but not a standout track

Great song. Amazing artwork. I don't find it boring, but the mixing between the different segments seems off. I'm turning the volume to max to hear the synth segments.

hope the massive songs stay off the singles to wow us, agreed this one was okay but may do better as a whole on the album

Always need more Seagrave art in my life. I wouldn't call the song better or as good as anything on Owls, but I liked it.

Album artwork reminds me of Suneater by Job for a Cowboy.

I disagree, I think it's really good. This band is all about that ambiance. Can't wait for the album

Rivers of Nihil is basically Meshuggah for people who don't like Meshuggah (and I'm not putting it in a negative context) so that's fine for me.

^ Lay off the crack pipe for a few minutes and take a deep breath of fresh air...Meshuggah sounds nothing, and I mean nothing, like Rivers of Nihil. The comparison is quite mind boggling, but then again, crack is a helluva drug.

yeah they have nothing in common really... rivers of nihil is a mix of traditional 70s prog rock and some ambient death metal. Meshuggah is neither

Rivers on Owls is what I wanted Fallujah to be. I say that grudgingly, and await the answer to which band will be the better Fallujah moving forward.

Switched it off when the synth came in. I'm sure the rest of the song is similarly meh.

The new single has its moments but I can't see myself coming back to this much. These guys set a really high bar with Where Owls Know My Name, to be honest I'll be surprised if they come anywhere close to topping that album.

Yeah agreed. I've automatically lowered my expectations for anything that comes after Owls, even before I ever heard this song.
