Fieldy takes hiatus from Korn

2021-06-21 by DatsNotDaMetulz | 20 Comments
Korn bassist Reginald "Fieldy" Arvizu has announced that he intends to step back from the band's touring activities for the foreseeable future.

In a statement released on social media, he explained that after falling back into some "bad habits" and causing tension with those around him, he is taking time out to focus on his recovery, in order to avoid irreparable damage to his relationships with the band, friends and family.

Korn have yet to respond, with rumours circulating as to who may replace Fieldy in the group's touring lineup. It is also unknown if Fieldy will perform on future Korn releases if his hiatus stretches that far into the future.

Martinie: Touring with Mudvayne again.

Trujillo: Still under 18, touring around the world would be a problem.

Love him or hate him, Fieldy has his own unique style. It’s be weird for someone to fill in. I’m almost betting they’ll just have the bass on tracks when they play live.

They should get one of those drinking birds with a giant rubber palm glued to its beak that just slaps the strings on every quarter note

@Storm they haven't done meth since like 1994 and they're from Bakersfield..so it's not surprising they'd even dabble in it

This is actually a very mature response to something that could have gotten way worse, especially in the age of social media.

He actually plays a pivotal role in the bands songwriting, so I hope he can make his way back into the band before they make a new album. Recovery is tough.
