Hong Kong pop star Keung To has premiered the single "Master Class", said to be one of the first attempts to meld reggaeton and Cantonpop.

In the video below, both contemporary dance and Chinese King Fu dance is performed to show the artist's aspiration to blend different cultures together in his works.

What will they think of next?

I think Keung To and his band "Mirror" will continue to try out different genres and fuse different elements together in their songs.

One problem faced by Cantopop in Hong Kong is that the market is shrinking. Not many Hong Kong people listen to Cantopop nowadays. One of the reasons for this is there is a lack of variety and creativity in Cantopop. People get bored so they listen to K-pop instead.

What Keung To and his band try to do is to "revive" Cantopop by creating new things. Indeed, they are gaining initial success. People who used to love K-pop now also listen to Cantopop.
