Dude, I'm not really comparing anything, to me it does and he's said so himself that Holdsworth and Tim Miller are big influences. That first solo is very Holdsworth-inspired, I don't see how that's an issue. Plini knows how to use his influences and make his own thing with them, that's part of what makes him such a great musician.
