Can we have "Let Go" Hundredth back already?
|
| |
You're living in a fantasy world if you think they're ever going back to melodic hardcore bro
|
| |
"Can we have "Let Go" Hundredth back already?"
Why? When there's already a million bands with that exact same style. Shit's old and wack.
|
| |
Yeah as much as they were solid in their old style, I doubt most would say they were at the pinnacle of the scene or anything. Their new style's somewhat hit or miss for me too but it definitely makes them unique among their peers.
|
| |
I'm an open minded dude (who loves metallic hardcore) but, I just don't like this. 80's synth pop should have died in the 80's.
|
| |
wack
|
| |
This band is awesome at switching genres but remaining completely generic within those genres.
Would be way more compelling if they found ways to blend their old style with shoegaze, new wave, pop, etc. But instead they just sound like a different band.
|
| |
"Can we have "Let Go" Hundredth back already?"
Nah. If you want more boring by-the-numbers melodic hardcore listen to The Ghost Inside
|
| |
Let Go was boring af, agreed
|
| |
I feel like I missed something. How did they go from "Rare" to this ? It doesn't even seems like a logical evolution in sound.
|
| |
Genuinely hard to believe this is the same band who wrote Let Go... but I'm all for it.
These guys really know how to write catchy synth pop songs. I was hoping for an "Ultrarare" direction and looks like that's what we're getting!
|
| |
Okay song. I prefer the sound they had on RARE tho
|
| |
Can they go back to Rare instead of Let Go?
This shit sounds like if Urban Outfitters was a song
|
| |
Outliers knows wassup
|
| |
I hate everything about this
|
| |
"let go" of their old sound lolol
go listen to tgi [2]
|
| |
I can't believe this band actually had interesting music in them. Their old shit is boring as fuck. Not saying their new stuff is mind-blowing or anything, but it's by far superior imo
|
| |
this is bad
|
| |
fascinating that they decided to follow up such a ballsy change in sound with the safest, blandest thing they could muster
"This shit sounds like if Urban Outfitters was a song"
oh yeah, definitely wouldn't be surprised to hear this over the speakers in a store within six months
|
| |
"This shit sounds like if Urban Outfitters was a song"
Meh, I would say American Apparel.
Both are dead.
|
| |
stop cryin'
|
| |
I didn't like it first either, but that chorus gets stuck in your head fasttt
|
| |
Anything these guys do has no impact on my life. I do feel kinda sorry for them, alienating their fanbase and all. Honestly, you seem more upset that people don't like it. You ok?
|
| |
who wants metalcore fans anyways
|
| |
The whole album is already leaked. This album is 14 songs of the same synth driven borefest.
|
| |
you joined to give us such insightful information
|
| |
I love that despite this band changing their sound like 4 times now, it’s always the most boring, phoned-in, uninspired version of whatever they’re trying to play
|
| |
Although I quite liked Rare, Chadwick has nowhere near the vocal range for such a style.
|
| |
Fucking terrible, no teeth.
Heard the album too, and Holy fuck, whoever was shit talking them for being generic post hardcore, they've certainly done nothing groundbreaking here, it's been done better by so many.
UGH.

i actually found these guys when their genre switch (1st one?) happened and they released neurotic/vertigo whatever that shoegazey record was. i still really like that record.
i enjoyed the synthwave covers of those songs.. and this is chill/produced well, but not as memorable as the stuff i first heard in 2017.
as far as melodic hxc goes.. just pop on counterparts, not sure these guys were the best at it lol
|
| |
Counterparts is just boring as fuck tho.
|
| |
The fuck happened to these guys
|
| |
bad takes across the board here
|
| |
Song's decent, nothing crazy but it was nice. Very tik tok song of them
|
| |
Maybe it's just me, but this kinda sounds like a latter-day Tame Impala b-side.
|
| |
Listened to a few songs from the new album and I gotta say, this is probably the weirdest choice for a single they could have picked. First two tracks on the album are much catchier, atmospheric, and frankly better than this.
|
| |
bad takes across the board here [2]
|
| |
This one is hands down the worst song they released since switched to shoegaze/dream pop in 2017. Rare was a solid record in my opinion and it never made me miss old Hundredth.
I was excited to hear something new, and noticed this record features 4 previously released tracks which are all really good. This song leaves me torn between preordering the record or waiting things out a bit first
|
| |
It's catchy af, I dunno what y'all are on about
