I too went the "theyre not REALLY emo" phase because y'know REAL emo is American Football and Mineral and shit, but nah that whole early to mid 2000s pop punk emo influenced mallgoth shit is definitely the next wave of emo music. This is my dream:

The theater and stage are dark, the band are all standing on the stage with their heads down as random sound bites from the Danger Days narrator with other ambient noises play in 3D around the audience. After a minute of this ambient intro, a spotlight comes down on Ray as he starts playing the opening of Bulletproof Heart. A dim spotlight falls on Gerard as he starts to sing the opening of the song. Fireworks go off as Gerard says "HEEERE!" and then the light show goes on and crowd starts jamming to one of the best songs ever made.
