There's so many levels to this.

a). There are random youtubers out there writing and recording full on generic nu-metal songs.

b). Flaw is so creatively bankrupt that they're ripping off unknown youtubers' songs wholesale.

c). Unknown youtuber actually owned up to the fact that he had written the riffs on those Flaw songs.

d). Somehow Flaw haven't yet thought of just hiring the unknown youtuber to be their guitarist.

Not true. Their first album Through the Eyes is one of the few nu-metal albums that's still listenable. Their second, Endangered Species is solid too. After that they turned to dog shit, though true.

I mean, I get the hate for that guitarist but not the other members or their music. I've always liked Flaw more than most other bands in that genre.

Endangered Species is where it's at. It's such a sorrowful, anguished record. "Consequences of Emotion" and "Keep Me Behind" are stellar too, somehow got left off the album.

That said, this whole situation is laughable. The level of replication, down to electronic whooshes and whatnot, reeks of not at all accidental plagiarism.

I guess their approach to music creation was... flawed?

Chris Volz is a good vocalist and decent lyricist. He needs to find better musicians to play for his band. Both as far as someone who won't plagiarize, and people who can actually write good riffs. Not sure what happened to the original lineup.

Also, this song isn't one of the stolen songs. Chris had permission to use it. Tbh he should just pick up a guitar and write himself since the people he's chosen to do the job haven't been very good.
