Esoteric Warfare is such a good album, have high hopes for this

I saw these guys a couple of years ago. Almost got punched by a random guy for no reason. I was able to dodge him and he beated the shit out of the guy next to me. Glorious show.

I've always had a good time watching them live but their sound is pretty much always shit for some reason. Last time the vocals were way too loud compared to everything else

Esoteric Warfare is my favorite from Mayhem so naturally I'm very excited.

I'm still a bit sad about the tour, because half of Europe (and my country) is out of the fun; again... *sigh*

...and because I'm sure Gaahls Wyrd will be fantastic. Those new songs are fucking' good.

I feel like a century has passed since Esoteric Warfare, a great release per se, hope the new album is more daring overall, analogous to the way Ordo Ad Chao was.

just have a bit more beefier sound, and im all in. esoteric warfare ruled but the tin can mixing took a lot away from the experience

Both the last albums are solid but I like ordo a little more. Like the other guy said, ordo felt a little less safe

They’re both amazing and under appreciated. Same with Chimera.

Yeah I honestly dont dislike any of their albums. Deathcrush is probably my least favorite

Deathcrush grew on me hard. Same with Grand Declaration.

But yeah I completely agree they have no weak albums.

I like deathcrush but it's a little on the raw side for my taste. But yeah, GDoW definitely grew on me a lot over the years

This band has had so many lineup changes that newer music just doesn't seem like the same band to me. I guess it doesn't really matter though, as long as it's good.

It's still most of the core members. It's everyone except euronymous with them basically

Yeah I just looked it up, there are more people left from the classic era than I thought.

I'm probably in a very minority of fans, but my fav album (aside from the obvious first classics) is Chimera. That said, my second favorite album is Esoteric Warfare. I expect this to be a solid return and am stoked of the news!

I don’t agree with that but I won’t argue. Both of those albums are amazing.
