R.I.P. Michiro Endo 2019-05-01 by discovolante | 5 Comments | Charismatic Japanese punk icon Michiro Endo has passed away on April 25th from complications of pancreatic cancer. He first announced his diagnosis last November. He was only 68 years old.
Endo is best known for being the frontman for the groundbreaking hardcore band The Stalin, who are one of the most successful and infamous punk bands to ever garner massive popularity in Japan. Aside from his work in The Stalin, Endo also became known for his work as a solo artist, working with popular artists like Thee Michelle Gun Elephant and Blankey Jet City.
