i didn't like this as much as i was hoping

first listen was meh, but on my second everything just clicked incredibly beautiful album.

i just find the instrumentation kind of bland. idk. i'll give it another try.

Jammed today. Very nice, sweet drumming, excellent vocals (especially the cleans), great atmosphere in places

on my fourth listen and i still feel just as meh - as good as the vocals are, the instrumentation is just so bland and soft for a death doom album. in so many ways it's ahab without the riffs and they were soft enough already.

I can appreciate the drumming, I have a soft spot for ghost notes and I like how the drumming leads into the final minute of Tvistevndur meldur.

However gotta say that the second listen was a bit less engaging than the first
