Black Kids Reveal Rookie Again 2017-06-11 by ArtBox | 3 Comments | Indie pop band Black Kids have announced an official release of their sophomore record, Rookie, for September 15th. The album is their first album in nine years, since 2008's 'Partie Traumatic.'
The band had already released Rookie via Bandcamp in February - albeit in the pay-what-you-want format - before it was removed a few weeks later. Their official Facebook clarified this release as a "sneak peek." The re-reveal of Rookie was done via Pledge Music, with an emphasis on pre-order rewards and exclusive merchandise, as crowdfunding websites do.
